This song is basically to all the edgy kids not getting over a broke heart and use that for attention, whining and cutting themselves over it. But as soon as they're together with another person they stop whining immediately. It's basically a counter emo song lol.

I interpreted it to mean like his ex girlfriend is dramatic and crazy, and so she cuts herself and tries to use it against him, always putting on another farce, a charade. Always fake crying, (crocodile tears) It's all for show. Music is interpreted by everyone differently tho, so I could be totally wrong

When you’re a teenager, Killing with a Smile is your favorite PWD album. As you grow up, Horizons more adult themes make you realise it’s superior. As an adult, Deep Blue is obviously the best.

This song will always have a special place in me. I was a Sophmore in HS, around 2010, just learning guitar, and my buddy who was a year above me, turned me onto this album and band. He said " Dude you gotta check out this album, especially this song, its nuts" This song in particular was my first parkway drive song, and after i heard that solo into that beautiful ending, i was hooked. Bought the album and bought thick ass guitar strings, down tuned my guitar to their tuning and was obsessed. Been a fan ever since. Love the reaction man, Parkway is badass.

I had a physical original copy in like 2007 just before HORIZONS came out but if I remember correctly on the CD Romance is Dead was track #5. This song was the first one to put me on the band and I discovered them by looking into I Killed the Prom Queen lmaoo

This album got me into metalcore. I bought it that day in came out and its probably my favourite metalcore album to this day. You need to just do another album reaction to it! I'd also say it hits harder than Horizons!

afaik, PWD has always been very critical of the emo scene/movement especially in their own country, because Australia was always a country with very high rates of suicide and they were very much against it being depicted as "cool" or whatever. This can be pretty much seen throughout the whole album. Correct me, if I am wrong.

Parkway drive is an amazing band by far my favorite band. I have every album and this song is awesome. But you definitely need to listen to deliver me, karma and swing. Those are 3 killer songs you would like. In my opinion you need to do a reaction to all their albums because they are all awesome.
