I dated someone like her too once. Wild, beautiful, reckless, passionate, creative, kind, but also self-destructive. Those are the ones you never forget. An adventure, a roller coaster of passion and emotions. What an experience to learn from as a young man in order to realize what I actually need.

Went through that with someone when I was in my early 20's. She didn't want to see what was right in front of her and got into shitty relationship after shitty relationship, turned to drugs to cope, and wound up dead a few years later. I'm in my 40's now, and married, and not a single day goes by where I don't think about what might have happened if I tried a little harder, or had the knowledge I have now back then. Some people just don't want to be saved, and that's the sad reality of it all.

It’s going to fit in every time of life…there’s always That Guy tries to help her , cute little mess she needs ME because of her trauma, and THEN she does something Effed up, He catches her. Then she cries that he’s all she’s got.. Man he loves her so much it’s killing him. But she does it again and again and again. Except he knows this isn’t his life he imagined. It’s killing the both of them. He’s gotta be the one who lets go. And that’s heart wrenching. He finally understands. The sun comes up…birds still sing…World Turnin’….. Shake it off if you’re listening to this in that funk. It hurts a little less every day.. AND GHOST HER. For real I’m a girl, believe me, I have Seen some really humiliating shit women do to their men. And the other guy drops her off a block away from the house.yup, she was with the girls and the “ WINE” made her tired. Then blows you off hen she gets home. And you know she wasn’t where she says.

The 90s caliber of songwritting be it ballads, rap, r&b, metal, rock, alternative is just a chasm of separation from todays lyrics. The songwriting is just poetic, real, from the heart, and that is why it transcends time and still applies today - and it will still resonate 20 - 50 years from now.
