I did tours of the Dam pre and post 911 and while both tours have excellent behind the scenes views the pre 911 was much more in depth but I have no problem with the new restrictions. So grateful I was able to see it all. Thanks for sharing all your adventures!

If you ever go to Durango/silverton please do a super long video - I cannot get enough of watching and listening to your narrations. These videos are inspiring, calming and relaxing. Colorado is very sentimental to me and I know you would do those locations justice. You gotta bring pops!

If you enjoy hiking then I would recommend doing the Historic Railroad Hiking Trail. You walk through 5 tunnels that were used to deliver materials to build the dam. It is a popular hike with a tiny parking lot so be there early. The full hike gets you past the fifth tunnel and all the way to the Hoover Dam visitor center.

Nice video. We crossed Hoover Dam in 1992 and toured the dam interior. Also was road construction going on at that time. Traffic was held up and we were on a temporary road section suspended from the hill side, I was not thrilled about that. No heights for me, but I did enjoy the walkway on the top of the dam.

I wouldn't mind going back there one day and walking out onto that new bridge. It was not there when I visited last. Back then traffic across the dam was crazy busy as you can imagine. I did not go inside the dam either so seeing that would also be great. I got scared just looking down from your video! The water was much higher also when I was there! Something I learned is that on the sides of the canyon there are placements for machine guns that they had when building the dam. I don't know if you saw them or learned about them in the visitors center. Just something I don't think many people know.

@@ThroughMyLens Yeah you must have driven to the dam either from AZ side of on the "loop" that detours around Boulder City. It is actually a cool little town to visit as thats where all the workers at the dam lived. there is a cool little museum between Boulder City and the Dam just north of Lake Mead. Boulder City also has some neat little diners. NEVER buy food at the Dam...

See I'm a firm believer if we can get the correct rotational spread inside of our material I mean material that we're not going to use right now and we have it layered in the water with like little ball structures that we can offset kind of like the pyramids but we can do different heists and different drops and maybe have multi-layer gravity spreads which could potentially open up and be like streaming light and I think they show really good potential to have control and have separation spreads if it's not needed it'll just sit there and people can live life and it's not going to affect nothing but if all of a sudden out of nowhere we need a hell of a lot more heavier we can run atmospheric depth pressure and we can put it exactly where we want it whenever we want it how we want it and if everything goes correctly if we have the correct gap spreads

It has been about 35 years since I've been to Hoover Dam. There were no walkways back then and the water level was much, much higher than it is now. I see that you didn't video yourself throwing that water balloon off Hoover Dam, though. Ha Ha.

the tour is pretty good, but be warned they really cram people into the elevator, like 30 some odd people crammed into one, probably why they stopped doing the tour. It was literally packing sardines into a can. Our tour guide even physically push people into the elevator and ignore the weight limit alarm sort of deal. But obviously before C19. The urinals in the restroom on the dam is cool, so even if you don't need a leak, take a peak.

There is a sad story about a dog that followed the workers around during most of the construction. It was eventually killed by a moving vehicle and was buried on site in a tomb on the Nevada side.

Like when I look at the Pentagon and I look at their screen and all I sees them playing on technicality computers and still having security problems sitting in our country they're not showing enough rotation gain back into our land I can handle that extracurricular activity can put the extra participation back in that growth cuz we can recycle the rotation spread of how you develop those layers and in the turbines you can produce a spread between the different correspondence of atmosphere gravity and you could probably even develop your states on the inside and how you need them to grow properly or grow unorthodox if something's going on and that's where you're going to take an area
@tahcogunworks
@tahcogunworks 3 жыл бұрын
Prior to 911, the tour was a lot longer and they took you to more areas in the dam. The old days you could drive across the dam. Then 911 restricted it. I guess you can again. The water is extremely low now.
