Date code 207 - July 1992, so almost 30 years old. In good shape too, so quite a find. Also, congratulations on hitting 100K - thats a tenth of a million subscribers - thats quite a feat - I'd imagine the quite considerable ad revenue from 100K subs will mean you can be buying many more rare vacuums in the future.

I understand where you're coming from Roger. I was surprised when I won an ebay auction for a new, unused, 1996 turbopower plus total system the other day. Even had the original Hoover air freshner with it so I was thrilled to bits.

I remember taking stock of these back in the day from the Hoover lorry , should have kept a few lol nobody liked them much back then they over heated and warped a lot because nobody cleaned the filter

I think later Galaxy models were sold with this nozzle. I have earlier version with contour nozzle, never seen with automatic tool althought it is on the leaflet.

This vacuum looks very interesting. I like the design, and also it must be very stable, because of the shape and wheels. Also one question, will you sometimes get some polish Zelmer? Zelmer is basically polish ETA, and you already made video on one ETA, and I was very proud of it as it is my country's brand :) Theese are great vacuums, especially ones from 1990-2015. I have other channel ZelmerVacs, there are some of them. I do really like Zelmer Wodnik, Zelmer Meteor 2, Zelmer Jupiter or Zelmer Cobra. Edit: and also well done, you have 100 000 subs! :) I remember I was watching your videos, when you had only about 15 000 subscribers. Great times...

The dusting brush that you thrown and not belong to the hoover is similar with my Khind VC8211 handheld. But I think in UK this brand isn't available.

Thanks for this video Roger! It kind of reminds me of the yellow Karcher canister cleaner. I actually like that replacement carpet nozzle: much prefer a carpet nozzle with no bristles along the sides as it allows for better edge cleaning on bare floors. It also allows you to clean carpets with the bristles in the down position- you reduce the suction and let the bristles sweep the nap!

I don’t believe we had the Hoover Galaxy here in the US, but I wouldn’t mind buying one if I ever come into some extra money. Obviously I would have to have a transformer, but it’ll be worth it to have such an interesting machine.
