The belt broke because the tension wheel came loose on mine after 2-3 times of using mine!! 🙁 The light on the “wash” also stopped working!!! I love how much dryer this gets the carpet but the off/on is horrible & the belt/timing design is not good!!! I can’t even find a new belt ANYWHERE in stores or online, not even on Hoover’s website!!! The belt doesn’t even have a part number & there isn’t anything in the instructions or manual about the belts not even how to change them!!!! 😩😤 I do really like it if I could find new belts!!!! I expected much better product from Hoover!!!!

Most of these home carpet washing machines aren’t built to last. I see the same complaints over and over on Amazon they last maybe a year or two and then they break. The only really good consumer grade carpet washers are either the Bissell Big Green or the Rug Doctor ( the old Rug Doctor Mighty Pro version not the newer ones). Everything else is cheap plastic Chinese garbage that’s not built to last.

I honestly don’t like not having a triggger . I like to just extract any extra water out and I can’t with this one because moving it forward redeposits more soap and water 😕

So HSNtv, why is the "Cleaning Solution tank" (shown @ 19:19) filled with liquid the same color as the dirty water in the Dirty water tank? To make it look like the carper cleaner is sucking up dirt from the carpet? Don't get me wrong, I have the Hoover Smartwash and it is awesome. Hoover doesn't need that HSNtv gimmicktry or false advertising. Hoover Smartwash is a great product but I have lost respect for HSNtv. Would never buy a product shown on HSNtv as I wouldn't know how honest the advertising is.
