As a 17 year old who just graduated from high school, i have adored this song and for some reason had it connected to most life events ever since i first listen to it. I made a usb full of information about my youth and songs i listen to so my future kids get to know me better if they weren’t granted the ability to do so just in case. This song was honoured to be the first song i downloaded in the usb and i loved it so much i myself have analysed every lyric in it. Truly a masterpiece Ps: can’t wait till i leave another comment when im 50 to update yall if i still adore this song as much or not lmao

As a hip hop fan, this is truly, one of my favorite non-hip hop songs in my vast collection. I can't get enough of this song. I can literally play it over and over for a ridiculous amount of time in one sitting without tiring of it. Today is the first time I saw the video to it. I was perplexed as I didn't know what was going on besides a variety of people gathering to play a lottery to win a ride in space? I have a pretty twisted sense of humor and mindset so I fully enjoyed the video, too! (laughing)

However, with the very greatest of respect and deference to the stellar writing skills of the group, what does the "serial number of our orbital gun" have to do with "you're not the only one that can hurt me", and Elvis too? Jason Baldwin Thanks for pointing this out! I just heard Isaac Hayes' Walk On By for the first time and got so irritated. I used to love this track--now I'll always be angry at Hooverphonic and unable to enjoy it the same way. 2 Wicky is effectively a remix. It's not like creating a song this way is inherently bad, but with such an extended "sample", at minimum they should have credited Hayes in the track title, not to mention he should be getting royalties. Without both, this is blatant, ugly, white appropriation.

If the end result is great music, who cares? As a multi-instrumentalist I struggled with the concept of sampling for a very long time. But in the end, it's the music itself that matters. We place so much importance on where it came from, but at the end of the day its the notes that are coursing through our bodies, not the artist.

I discarded this song for so long just because i never liked the video (I still don't) so i never listened to it until I discovered it on Live at Koningin Elisabethzaal concert... the song is amazing.
