I just discovered this song and I'm left speechless. So grandiose and pathetic, melancholic in turns... This cello and that epic lyrical flourish at 2:23...
@dorianrawls1927 Жыл бұрын
@stangiliadov9038 in art and literature, pathetic (from "pathos", suffering) refers to something that evokes sadness and bittersweet feelings. A pathetic melody triggers sad emotions. Not to be confused with the more widespread meaning of the word which means lame or miserable ;)

They are participating at Eurovision. Someone told me that Hooverphonic doesn't bring emotional songs. If this is not emotional then i don't know what emotion is.
@belh4wk3 жыл бұрын
that someone was lying or heartless... that band doesn't do anything else but emotional songs, sure, not all wrapped up in emotional sounding music, but the lyrics, the message? doesn't get a lot more emotional than that

Well, who ever said that, it is because they are lacking on the kind of emotions required to listen Overphonics ,,,, period!

@parin87183 жыл бұрын
@@eviken1982 I figured that's the case :) I like Eden and mad about you the most but all their songs are nice. I think Belgium has a very rich artistic culture and also many famous musicians: Stromae, Lara Fabian are the other ones I know of besides Hooverphonic.Could you please suggest other singers to me? I think it's very cool that Belgium has 3 offical languages and wouldn't mind to listen to singers that sing in Dutch,French or German but since you are from Flanders I assume you would be more acquainted with the Dutch ones right? Sorry if I'm mistaken
