When I drive an hour to go get it, they told me that they had too many people interested and it would have to be 15k over msrp. Not only that, they offered me 15k for my 2021 top of the line trim sportage with 22k miles absolutely flawless condition. They have a 2020 with 40k miles for sale for 27k with way lower trim. They are just crooks. They always were, but now they are over the top stealing money from stupid people. I kept my sportage and am happy to have it and the $400 payment after that. It was literally going to cost me more than double the payment on top of the rip offs in the tens of thousands. There is no way the EV would be able to save me money when you enter the deal almost 30k in the negative. The car was in no way nicer either other than the instrument cluster being lcd. It has the same size infotainment system separated from the cluster. It didn’t have everything my vehicle did.

A proper bid would have been 2.2 mil and there are multiple collectors who want to start a collection who would offer 2 mil cash to avoid the dealer markup. 1.7 was like going into Gamestop and having them offer you $5 for a month old game. Just outrageously low. I can't even get a car that RUNS where I live for less than $5K. It's fine to do on a case by case basis, but lowballing down to online auction prices considering this.. it's a jerk move. Hoovie is drowning in debt, but even that was too much. Not really defending the guy. Hoovie was doing his fare share of S___T shoveling too. It's sad, pathetic but that's the way it's done (unfortunately). His job is to make deals or start looking for a new employer. Everyone just wants some of these guys to be less skilled at their profession. Oh yes....BTW.... And inflation. Cars (and especially exotics) really went up in value during the pandemic. But I'd have my doubts as to that staying around. Bank repos are starting, inflation is catching up, electrics *will* start to catch on. I'd say that the Ferrari may pull through, not so sure about the others. And even if they do, it may not have been worth it.
