Yes, J-hope is a member of BTS. He will be starting his military service any day now. This song was his 'see you later' song to ARMY. J Cole was his childhood inspiration. The video does tell a story. He starts on the street where J Cole filmed his Simba video. J-hope says goodbye to his younger self who is dressed in the same clothes as J. Cole. He walks through the street representing life. Meanwhile J Cole is above him on the roof. J-HOPE gave him extra time to do his rap as a sign of respect. At the end however J-hope has reached the roof and is on the top like J Cole. This is a beautiful moment to work with the artist he calls his 'muse' and a goodbye for now to ARMY. J-hope is the dance leader and a rapper of BTS. Maybe it's time for you guys to learn a little more about BTS. All the best.

J-Hope is 1 of the 3 rappers in the group BTS. And if you don't know BTS is the biggest group in the world and J-Hope is Korean. Kind of wish you had turned on the subtitles after you realized he was rapping in Korean (unless you did and I couldn't tell). J-Hope was a street dancer when he was younger and often danced to J. Cole's music so working with him was a dream come true. They first met each other last July at Lollapalooza when J-Hope headlined the festival, the first Korean soloist to do so. And BTS actually did their own rendition of J. Cole's song Born Sinner called Born Singer back in 2013 right after they debuted as a group. All 7 BTS members are doing solo work right now because they all have to serve in the Korean military (military service is mandatory in South Korea) for a minimum of 18 months and J-Hope will be the 2nd member of BTS to enlist any day now. Jin who is the oldest member in BTS already enlisted back in December and the others will enlist after their solo projects are completed. So this song was made as a goodbye for now present to the fans before he leaves for the military. I hope you guys will check out more of BTS group music or more of their solo work because they are incredible. Over 300 songs covering various genres and subject matter. Thanks for the reaction.

j Hope is a member of BTS, and so is Jimin, the guy in the Set Me Free Pt. 2 video. BTS is currently the greatest band in the world. you only witness 2 of the 7 talents. You will be amazed by how talented all 7 of them are. They aren't just performers but real artist, who produce, write their own songs and they are great dancers.

Thank you for reacting this. If you turn on CC, theres english translation for the Korean part. Actually Jhope part n Jcole part kinda connected. Jhope also mentioned his hope for his next path (as he will leaving for military enlistment soon) and connected what Jcole's thougt for his next legacy (the crown n the grow like a daughter). For non fans, BTS is known for their amazing dancing skilss/performance. For non kpop fans they known for their fans, BTS Army (in which people thought were just huge bunch of teenage girls were in fact their fans are range from teenage to senior as far as 70/80 years old. Me myself is 42 yo). But for their fans,BTS known for their meaningful lyrics. Of the strugle to fight the stigma, the hate/haters, even mental illness (as they were also struggle during so many hate/accusiation even just right on they started their debut as BTS). And also their process of kinda let go the fear of what people would said about them, to just the h*ll with all the hate n critism that came just because of their status right now. That is what the lyrics on Set Me Free Pt 2 by Jimin (the one you reacteed before) all about. Many reactors kept asking who the lyrics aimed to when they reacted to BTS songs and read the lyrics. Because really, what you read on Set Me Free Pt 2 were just half of what they spit on their solos like Daechwita by Suga, Joke by RM, or BTS rapline songs like UGH/Ddaeng/Cypher. So i hope next time you react to their other songs, please turn on the CC and set for the English trans. Trust me, you will be amazed by their lyrics and different genres they did. BTS songs are more than pop songs like (maybe) you heard of Butter/Dynamite. Thats also why many reactors usually suprised since they thoughy BTS is just a Korean pop group. He is a member of BTS with Jimin, the members of BTS have solo projects especially now that they are on break as a group because they must do their military service, before leaving each one will have an album and with this song J-hope says goodbye to the fandom since he announced that he will be the second to go. So jhope is one of the 7 bts members. Jhope has looked upto jcole for the past 11 to 12 years ever since he decided to join bts. He was initially a street dancer for a dance crew in his hometown. Later on he moved to seoul to join bts in 2010 where he was asked to move in with a group of underground rappers in a dorm who were in the lineup to join BTS. ( that included RM and suga, the other 2 rappers in bts ) So basically j.cole is who jhope used to listen to when he started rapping. BTS started out as a hiphop group and then later transformed into doing multiple genres. Kpop is not a genre... it an industry... and bts does not fit into that industry. Bts is not even a complete pop group. They started with 3 rappers. All their early stuff is hiphop, edm rnb etc.. Labelling them as one thing is a mistake.

BTS has been on this work thing for years, they actually started as a rap group. But 3 members makenup the rap line Rm, j hope, and suga. All three with distinctive styles lyricism of abilities to for word play and representing three tiers of rap styles that are top tier. I hope you next video will be with rm with Anderson Pak still life or rm with wale, and then August D daechwita. Be ready to have you world rocked by k-rap it been here for a while but they have not been ready for it.Once you do that then go check out there older raps and see how much that have matured as rappers and professional musician.

They are 2 of 7 members I recommend looking up BTS MV and songs they’ve been active since 2013 to present Currently they are pursuing solo projects which are the MV you’ve covered so far Jimin’s Like crazy, Set me Free pt2 and J Hope’s on the street. I suggest looking into j hope’s Jack in the box album as well as their Leader of BTS RM album indigo I personally like Wildflower and Closer.
