It's because his mother didn't make him try things. My mother did the same to me, and I didn't eat any fruits or veggies until my 20s when I started forcing myself to try things. I used to not even eat a taco if I found one piece of lettuce on it. I was embarrassed that I was that way. Now I eat most things and even more than the majority of my family now, lol. @jojobee42

Even though it wasn't for his palate, he still rated fairly and was respectful. He didn't spit out the food and gave it a good try. He's not a problematic picky eater, he communicates his pickiness well. Y'all need to give grace

The whole first half I was like WTF he’s sooo fussy, but by the end I felt bad for him and how everyone was reacting to him!! He probably has some psychological food avoidance issues and is constantly having to explain himself to people in disbelief that call him weird/crazy/fussy/picky😢 He’s very self-aware in that he knows he’s not the norm and that he couldn’t go on restaurant dates…. but it’s sad that he repeatedly called himself weird, and said that he knows his fussiness is a red flag…. He still tried everything he was given, and spoke positively of each dish even tho he obviously didn’t really like them. I think he deserves major props for coming on something like this which is obv so far from his comfort zone, trying everything and being happy with it all.
