I took it as the whole track is by hope the first few bars on the raft tell you. it’s all in his head and the different parts fighting to take control, fear is laughing and showing he is in control by pushing him into the dark parts of his mind ..thr mansion but hope wasn’t fazed room by room which is why it’s taken the reigns and now at the forefront.

If you know NF this is deeper than good and evil. All his "Personality traits" are his voices in his head. Each room in his "Mansion" represents each trait. He's always had "Fear" talking to him etc...now he's finally realizing there's hope. The first scene was his "Hope" stranded in the open ocean lost because he never had any. Instead of the map to Hope. Here NF metaphorically swaps it that Hope needs a nap to him. In his head "His Mansion" Hope realizes he doesn't belong or have a room, but now he had a reason to live for. 30 years of no hope....until now!

i've watched at least 10 NF hope react so far, and for this multi-layer masterclass it amaze me how ppl actualy react to the layer they have an "interest" into and completly miss others, or moreover "a mind cannot express what it cannot conceive" i guess, therefore "can't even see it". that's why i watch them all, they all give different perespective. in your discussion you disagree to each other, there is no wrong or no right, it's "perspective", it's layer.

What I gather on this, it’s a lot ! Lol it’s the positive Nf searching for Hope, and the part where he says “what’s my definition of success?” It’s actually his answer to his song Why and negative Nf gives him wrong directions but also if you noticed that Negative Nf pushed NF into to his old mansion and that’s where his references come out, like the first room, it’s the video of Leave Me Alone, second room, it’s a combination of Outcast and Let You Down. And that the end, which was dope !! The old NF tries to come back but this NF fights, btw love your videos !

I feel like I need to weigh in here. I’ve been on the “ ride “ since the beginning. I even went back to “Moments”, other EP’s, colabs, and my simplest interpretation, we all know he’s always been in his head. Up until now, the source for all his material has been his pain, his anguish, the darkness within his mind, that controls his thoughts. For 30 yrs he thought getting that out, was the path to healing, and while it helped him work it out, and get this far, it isn’t the solution, now it’s time to let everything come from a new driving force, a new place he’s unlocked within himself, and he’s facing fear, and closing the doors on the negative thoughts that consumed his past, time to push back the darkness, the “fear”, time to believe in himself, and quit being his own worst enemy, time to allow himself to be driven by HOPE! This one is definitely my own interpretation, but the Bible says that you need “Faith, Hope, and Love, and the greatest of these is love”. He already had faith, he found love with his wife, and son, and that has lead him to hope… It’s his journey! He’s just so astonishingly amazing at lyrically making it universally relatable, that we all feel like we are on it with him, and we are, that’s why he is unlike anyone else!

Bro... Your female friend is right or I agree with her. He is alone in an ocean of mental journey of torment but hope has been shown to him. His 30 years (negative vibes), he presumed it would take him to the next level of therapy. Now, he is summoning his personalities to do what he was destined to do, be the best him he could ever be. The white is exactly the contrast to the black side of him, his mentioning of his child born is making him be a better Nate.
