@@leanasf821 what speed is that ? i have 42 chainring and 11 as the highest rear gear . down hill the 11 tooth gear is just enough to keep up with the speed of the decent . i know the mph cause of the app i use sometimes . i doubt he is using the highest gear . but . going around sharp corners .it looks looks he is going as fast as possible with out losing control .

@@leanasf821 i cant go any faster without a lower tooth gear . i added 11 tooth from 14 . [ changed the whole stack ]because the 14 could not keep with the speed from the decent . now i can use the higher gear to pass people . ... as i peddle .

+George Hurt They do it on bikes used in races to be faster when changing the rotors. Because every bolt gets checked before every race they can afford to get rid of 2, as 6 bolts are not really needed. If you ride normally I wouldn't do so though as it is used as a safety margin to make sure your rotor stays in place ;)
