Hope pro 4 hub sound comparison (new & used)

So I did compare both hubs sounds of mine and my friends bike and the result is my friends hub has more louder sounds than mine.

Sounds like the new one is properly greased and the old one starts to get a bit "dry". That would explain it for me, but I could be wrong.

Yah that’s what I know too when I saw one video of how to make it more louder but it’s seems not good for the long run.

If you like loud buzz sound from hubs, use oil for the hub, not grease! And refresh it every few months at least. I cant decide between Hope Pro 4 DH and DT Swiss 240 54T... price is almost the same but i cant decide wich sounds better and will live longer :P

old one probably getting little dry. also. the sound can and is impacted by if you use grease or oil. where grease making it quieter and oil louder.

It's normal even the pro 2 its become more louder went it's use long time or years of used.

What flow rim was that? I'm doing a wheel build and want to use a flow ex3 rim with a hope pro 4 hub was wondering if it will fit?

Anyhub will fit any rim as long as it has the right amount of spokes
