Hope Pro 5 single speed hub with custom Berd Spokes build

Got the same hub, even the same color. 36 spoke with the single speed freehub. I love Hope because of the options. It was the only 36H SS specific hub I could find.

@@treimar 36 spoke is such a great build. It actually makes a wheel more supple.

It’s only a 32x23 but not slow as much as steep. I have to climb over 1000ft in 2.5 miles but fast on the descent

@@hardmtnbiker Oh, that's great ratio for climbing! Where I live trails are usually flat! With a small hill, from place to place! I use 36/16 or 34/14 gear ratio! On my single speed/fixed gear bike, I use 54/18! Happy trails 🙂

@@kris8165 thanks for sharing. That’s a different type of mountain biking where you live. It sounds like a really fast pace everywhere. My trails are only fast on the steep descents and I don’t need to pedal at all on those sections.

@@hardmtnbiker I've seen your videos! Beautiful places where you ride! Yeah,where I live, the terrain is completely different, so cycling is easier and can be done with higher gearing!😅
