WTF is wrong with the people down there (and everywhere else you see abandoned animals)? No dog or cat should have to deal with the situations they're in. This is just heartbreaking. It makes me cry for those babies and all those who are suffering behind the scenes. God have mercy on all of them. Amen.

So many of the dogs look well fed or haven’t been on the street long. Many gravitated to the truck, I just suspect they are dumped pets. More sadness on top of heartbreak. How you keep doing this is beyond me, your all saints.

Hey, Thanks for watching. That sounds like an interesting concept. However, we do not believe the dogs are dumped - a few here and there, sure. We believe the people who live in the houses in these neighborhoods allow their dogs to roam un-fixed (sexual organs intact) and these dogs mate and produce more dogs. Houston is as close to a city experiencing a population crisis of stray and roaming dogs in the United States as any city is. What do people do, just go to that area and drop off their unwanted dogs? This is so sad. Someone must be watching out for them, they are not all skin and bones. Actually most look very healthy. Some even have collars on. I've never seen so many homeless dogs just running loose like that. Wow, what a difference. Is that his furever home?

Seeing this video got me wondering just how many dogs die, due to being allowed to roam, in Houston every day... and do their owners even care ?

Yes, lots die every day in Houston. Some care in a few parts of the city. Other parts there is great apathy. In San Antonio, they keep statistics of dead dogs collected off the street every year, and the last numbers we've seen were more than 20,000 dead dogs being taken off the street by sanitation services last year.

@@AnimalRescueNetwork That's such a terrible shame. And this why pet ownership should be licenced, and more strictly governed. And because we all know, that everything that happens on this Planet, all comes down to money, in the end, I'm actually surprised that the governments of this world haven't jumped at the chance to 'monetarize' something like pet ownership, by making people take financial responsibility for wanting a pet, by licencing and insuring it. Because, by doing that, it would cut down on the people, that just get pets, on the spur-of-the-moment, without the means to properly, and financially take care of them. But sadly, I suppose that putting a further price on owning a pet, would also add to the problem of unwanted pets too, by causing the people who have pets, that they cannot take care of properly or financially, getting rid of them =(

So happy to know that this poor dog that I know 20 years ago would have most likely have been euthanized instead of had any resources utilized on him. Thankfully times have changed for the better.
