Thanks for the video very simple to understand and comprehensive! I’m new to hope, breaks, and have been having a really frustrating time getting a good bleed on the back break, I had to replace the seals in the caliper as one was leaking, so I’ll go back to the shed now and try the removing the caliper from the frame trick it looked like it did loads of good, thanks again

You're welcome. Hopefully now you have a nice reliable brake.

What I like to do with hope is when you’ve finished the flush and lubed the pistons, if you’re still not getting the best result I put a syringe on the calliper with the easy bleed funnel on and push fluid back and forth and that gets any trapped air and works a treat

I'm normally lucky enough to bleed them off of the bike but with these internal routed frames, not possible. I'll try the reverse method and see. It's not a method I have used on Hope stuff but SRAM and Formula love making you push fluid back and forth.

@@Chambers36TheEnter personally I find it’s perfect as these are notorious for seized and sticky pistons so it gets all that air behind the pistons, give it a go, id like to see how it works for others

Hey I’m having the same issue! I’m not nearly as handy as you are - I don’t feel confident in my ability to troubleshoot the brake lever issues. Was the brake lever actually clogged in your first video? And was that the solution that solved the problem? Or did it just need to be bleed and lubricated?

Hi Yes it was clogged in one of the tiny ports and removing the debris solved the issue. It's the first time I have seen it with Tech 3 though It's normally on older hope stuff that I see this clogged lever.

Hi. Which one pads are the best for hope?
@Chambers36TheEnter2 жыл бұрын
From the small amount of riding I've done with E4's I found the stock Hope resin pad to be very good. I believe they are made by Galfer. They last for a long time. I did try Hope sintered pads but the resin ones were more powerful and quieter. Depends on your riding style.

What's the name of that fits onto bleed nipple.

That's part of the hope bleed kit (HTTEBK1) not sure if they sell it separately. I normally use a PVC pipe with a internal diameter 3mm and external diameter 6mm. If you're in the UK I bought mine here - www.ebay.co.uk/itm/253419740770?hash=item3b00fe5e62:g:zS4AAOSwmNxafrU1&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAwK%2Fp02oUqPwC9TzoFPpRsOPOy2k9AtS5Z4E7UO353W7gBMbvcImsfEm2U%2FoeVcrZ9g3ApBAG1hq1dzFQqeBMp0xhEbdjpv1t2ZdpU5y5jNqf37uqTtNzdzw0sJJ0caBLsD91tYq9Ltzw0cqzXk6O973IW7c8PXta9pvhrx09IOXrYPy%2BeYp51ZS3ClGfXEXYd8Z4MLmA1hzBYIRzwf%2FXRWWPIRzun18XG7klY7gHVZNgynS%2BZe%2BXQJ35UxeSwjUwug%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABlBMUOSjsvWcYQ I use the 3x6 option, 3rd one down in the list.
