Dear Mark Heesen, You are absolutely right: Mr. Gert Van Hoef is one of the - of not THE BEST organist I ever heard - his Music really touches my heart, I love it. Besides the fact he's a humble, kind and very sweet young man. And you are right once more: having a real good (even "high end") sound system is essential. I use the iFi iDSD (it's an extremely good DAC with a build in super quality headphones amplifier) connected digitally, via a USB-3 cable to my Chrome book laptop and my AKG K712 "reference headphones".. I understand not everyone can afford these - rather expensive - "gadgets". Though I think it's worth it: e.g. the lowest notes sound SO real I almost feel them physically, like in church when Mr. Gert Van Hoef plays "life" Music on a real (huge) pipe organ. Absolutely awesome - highly recommended ! Blessed Be. ❤😊😊❤

Many consider Yiruma a secular pop song but it definitely has a very spiritual, joyous feel to it as well. Wonder if anyone has written lyrics to it yet. Thank you, Gert.

Dear Mr. Gert Van Hoef, Of course to "adapt" and "enhance" a piece of Music in your own way is 100 % "in sync" with the Masters of Baroque, e.g. J. S. Bach, G. F. Handel, A. Vivaldi, D. Scarlatti (and many others). Often they transposed e.g. a harpsichord concerto for pipe organ, or to be played by an orchestra - or the other way round. Awesome ! Because pretty much every baroque musician was also a composer - and they liked to improvise, just like you, a great tradition - and you Honor it too. Though you play all kinda Music, in a way you're also a "Baroque Man", like Mr. Ton Koopman - the famous Baroque Musician (organ and harpsichord) and Conductor. Wonderful, please go on playing the pipe organ in your own, original and very special way - it's beyond beautiful, it's total happiness. Yes, your performances makes me very, very happy - THANK YOU !
