I've had a car accident 2 months ago, I had compression fractures in 5 vertebraes in my spine, and I had to stay in bed for 3 weeks straight, and during that time, I had some very important exams that couldn't be postponed, I studied hard and passed them while staying in a laid down position, it was the hardest time of my life but i will never give up on my dream of becoming a doctor :)

Last May (2023) I got fired from my job and had to move back into my parents house. I'd gained alot of weight and was at my heaviest at 258lbs. I remember crying one night in my bed because I felt like a complete failure. I had given up on my dream of becoming a doctor because of my learning disability in mathematics. Because of that I fell into a deep depression. This video was a turning point for me. As of May 2024: I've moved into a studio apartment by myself Have 2 jobs lost 35lbs (currently at 222lbs) Got my ass back into school After my 4th attempt I finally passed my exams in mathematics I'm happy to say that I'm moving to Slovakia next year to pursue my dream of becoming a doctor. my mother is going through cancer right now, we’re halfway through the treatment. up until now i’ve been putting on a brave face, being stoic in my ways and just soldiering on with everything until this week everything caught up with me. i’ve found myself becoming so demotivated with life, i felt like i took a hit in my own business plans when they were just getting started, i’ve been feeling so angry and as a result i was forgetting small things combined with the questions from everyone showing their concern just stacked up and it was all getting to me. i wanted to give up on everything i had been working towards because things were getting to their boiling point. this video reminds me of this expression i keep thinking of “the only way you fail in life is if you quit” and i know i wasn’t raised to be a quitter so thank you for the reminder with this video

My life definitely doesn't have the same level of struggle as others. I feel so much pressure from my family and myself as well, to do amazing academically. I've gotten A's my whole life. The semester of high school was the hardest one yet, and I stretched myself too thin and did too little, pretending motivation was the issue. It wasn't, I just didn't want to work. I pulled through. I needed a 99 on my semester in exam in one of my class to keep my A. I studied a week ahead for this one specifically, and so much tears and pain was put into it. I kept thinking, "when I see that A, it will feel so good." I studied like mad, and cried the morning I took it. I was so anxious. It was 100 questions, each worth one point. I could only get one wrong. And I did. It was digital, so I pressed submit, and covered my eyes, feeling alone in the full classroom. I got a 99. One wrong. 1 in 100. I cried tears of joy. I'm very proud of that, and I hope I do better next semester to not have to rely on my exams to make my grade. But I have myself to thank for pushing through. If you think you can't, if it seems impossible, if the odds are stacked against you- imagine your success. You are so much more capable than you can imagine. Be kind and give yourself a chance- you are amazing in ways you can't even imagine. Trust yourself and take the leap!

One of these videos genuinely saved me a couple weeks ago. I was in a really bad week long breakdown of unbearable guilt, and one of these videos genuinely managed to make me get up and realize that all that matters is if I try to be better than I was yesterday. I’m starting to realize the past and future are nothing, and the present is a gift. Funny that it’s called the “present” as well. It’s awfully fitting. I have changed my habits recently. Before bed i use to listen to sad music and depressing videos. I was always depressed but it made it worse. I now listen and watch stuff like this. It has been helping me mentally so much.
