It must be asked, why didn't you immediately spay her? If she was pregnant when you found her, her initial vet assessment would have picked it up. Or did you not take her to a vet when you found her? If not, why not? Hopefully not because you can't afford vet bills. If you can't afford vet bills you have no business taking in a dog. As much as it might seem like a nice thing to do, dog ownership is a huge responsibility and a significant expense. That's precisely why so many dogs end up on the streets ... they're acquired by people who can't or won't pay for their upkeep.

Sally (presumably) trusted Sonya enough to feed her, but not to take her home and adopt her (and her puppies). Dogs must get SO screwed up in their perception and distrust of humans when a human feeds and houses them only to then cynically dump them alone on the street miles and miles away in the middle of nowhere.

On ever one I watched I think my favorite part is their faces and body look unstressed when getting a bath. It's like that's the moment they understand they are in a place of love and safety. My son and I are talking about doing a little fund raiser thing for you and the people that do the same thing . We don't get to have pets as my wife is very allergic to dog saliva and dander. I know but there are just some things a dog can't give me, I chose her. She's worth it😍.

Have you tried the breeds that are more allergy friendly? I believe Yorkies, poodles, Maltese and mixes of these breeds are good choices for the allergy suffers, but you would have to experiment to know for sure.

I've noticed she will react if even myself gives her a wet smooch on the neck....I've also licked her face 🤭 to see what happens, she had a raised racing stripe up the side of her face, she found zero humor in it.
