Love this piece! I'm brand new to wood burning (just ordered my kit!) And I can't wait to get started, I'm nowhere near as artistic as you but I'm excited to try :)

Beautiful work! As a beginner which tips would you suggest getting in doing pet portraits? Thank you again for sharing your talents.

Thank you :) A skew tip and a shader are the ones I use most. For my Razertip that’s the knife tip pen and the spoon shader. A round tip and a ball tip are useful too. All four of these came in the Pyrography starter set I got when I bought my machine

My God hahahahaha, I was so mindblown by the black and white whiskers that I was yelling "what?!" at my screen for the whole duration of the video hahahahahaha. That was amazing, I can't believe the thought didn't even cross my mind, I thought you were gonna just burn the kitty's face and leave the rest blank, so when you made those thick lines coming from the cat's mouth I was questioning the decision a bit, looked kinda weird for a sec. But damn... I really wasn't expecting you to switch the whisker colours like that so that they were the opposite colour going out of the area of the face. Geez, I'm so bad at explaining my thought process, but uhhh, long story short, it was great! I know that it's kind of an old video, but seriously... Awesome stuff, this is probably my favourite work of yours that I've seen so far, aside from the dragon I saw in the first video of yours that I watched. Also, unrelated but glad to hear that you like cats, I do too! I can barely walk a single street without trying to pspsps any nearby cat I see... It has become a problem in a way, think my friends are becoming sick of my constant stopping when we're going out somewhere hahaha. Anyway, yea. Hope you're not too annoyed at getting all these comments recently, but watching your videos is really enjoyable.

Thank you! I’m glad you’ve been enjoying my videos, thanks for leaving so many comments :) And a lot of my art has an ugly stage lol it did look sort of odd when I’d just burned around the lines

@@WildwoodStudio Thanks…. I bought a Razertip at Christmas and did a few coasters but now have jumped right in and working on a memorial piece for our Bichon that passed in March. Big learning experience for this project.

How much do you sale your art for? Or a rough idea just because I do this and try not to over charge others. Amazing piece here
@WildwoodStudio
@WildwoodStudio 3 жыл бұрын
It depends on the artwork, I charge based on a combination of how long something takes, the complexity of the picture, and how big it is. Do you sell yours online then? I usually just wait and sell mine at in person art shows but there haven’t been any of those in the last year.
@truewrldseeker4004

I sale mine online, kind of because I messed up my back and want to help out the house hold. But I have tried going to events but it’s hard to just make pieces for events when I have orders online mostly portraits of people or animals. Thanks for the info, you do some amazing work with your art.

Can you please make tutorial videos and recommend brands for the tools?
@WildwoodStudio
@WildwoodStudio 4 жыл бұрын
I have a couple of tutorial videos, and I plan to do more. For tools, I use a Razertip dual wood burning system, and I also have a walnut hollow versa tool which is a pretty good inexpensive option. Other than those though, I haven’t used a lot of different brands so it would be hard for me to make reliable recommendations. Thank you for the suggestions :)
