Thank you for all of your heartfelt thoughts about Oliva. You had me in tears. And yes, Olivia was a humble classy soul!! She never compromised herself. Thank you for acknowledging that! When i heard of Olivia's passing i remember her battle of the big C.I thanked God for her reaching the age of 73 with a loving husband.And i remember her song "Magic"i searched it immediately in youtube.And today i saw your cover of that song in you tube you .are so gteat nancy and it was 6 mos.ago. i thought it was recent.

I couldn't agree with you more Nancy in that Olivia Newton John was a true Lady of Grace and Class. Something that is so rare among female celebrities of today. Like yourself, Olivia was my all-time favorite singer. As a young boy I used to watch her videos and movies and imagine that she was singing to me. Hi Nancy, I need to echo a little bit of what Garry Ford said below. You were the first person I thought of when I heard the sad news. While mostly thinking of Olivia. A sad loss. R.I.P. Olivia. You were correct as far as Olivia kept her modesty whether playing a nice girl next door or play a bit of a bad rough girl. For me it's all about the singing and less about what there not wearing. I was hoping to see a tribute from you to ONJ. What a wonderful and touching way to put it all in words. My dad took me to see Grease when I was 8 and, it was the Hopelessly Devoted to You scene where I fell in love with Olivia Newton John, even at such a young age. There was something magical about her. You're 110% correct when you said that she did it the right way. She seemed to stay true to who she was up until the end...a true fighter. I am not sure how you got thru your speech, or singing, without completely breaking down. Just typing this, my eyes are swelling up. It's weird because I didn't know her, but I think she represented what was good about entertainment. She was beautiful,. she was sweet, she was fun and she was just plain classy. I think losing ONJ also represents the mortality for even cultural iconic placeholders in our youth, that nothing is forever. I don't know. I've never been that sad over losing anyone famous. She was much different. God Bless Olivia Newton John and God bless you for carrying on her traditions with your beautiful singing. I know I may have rambled, but, hopefully I made a little sense.

Hi Erik! Thank you for such a thoughtful comment, and yes it made a whole lot of sense! I actually didn't make it through my little speech without breaking down. I had to make a cut and patch the last line of my talking on. I was actually going to post the clips of the difficulty I had getting through it but then decided not to. Anyway, we'll always know that she had that "something special " about her, and it remains forever.

I would walk the earth barefoot from where I live (uk) to hear you sing live, I keep popping to your page to see if you have released any new work,I know it must be hard since the loss of Olivia for you like it is for myself and many others too and I do hope that you have been able to to heal. I hope not to sound selfish but please please can you release some more Of your beautiful material. I bet you could do a great patsy cline 😉. I agree with you, Nancy. Yes, Olivia did it right. I sort of had that same though, too, on the day she passed away. My thought was, she was sort of the Queen of Australia, even though I guess she was born in UK. I feel so lucky I was able to see her live in concert in Laughlin, NV a few years ago. She sang just as beautifully there as ever! I can't believe she's gone. But thank you so much for keeping her songs, 'alive'. Maybe you could put together a video of your cover of her songs from Xanadu? I know that would be a lot of work. Maybe for her birthday. But there's probably not enough time to do that. I just found you today. I haven't explored all your videos, so I don't know how many of Olivia's songs you've already covered. I found 3 so far. A couple from Xanadu that I liked but that didn't seem to be hits: "Whenever You're Away from Me" with Gene Kelly, "Suddenly" and "Suspended in Time". I need to go watch that movie again! I think in her concert, Olivia said something like, "I made a movie, a while back. Some of you may have seen it." Of course, everyone cheered. We saw it! We remembered! 😀 And then she proceeded to sing those songs, perfectly...maybe even better! But she had a lot of other songs that weren't in Xanadu. "The birds will have to find something better to do." 😥

Have you ever heard of Lauren Daigle? Maybe look up Katy Nichole. Her song "In Jesus Name" is a powerful and beautiful ballad. If you want to go old school, maybe something by Stevie Nicks or Linda Rondstadt. If you wanna go really fun, do something by Blondie or Toni Basil! :) Anything you pick, I look forward to!
