Now the race is on to save the iconic native animals, with researchers hoping a new vaccine approach could be the answer. It’s design is similar to the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine in humans, and plans are already underway as to how it could be delivered to wild animals. Ellen Coulter reports.
