It’s the exact same product from the same company the only reason there were different attachments is because Wavytalk has different bundles and if she would have looked further on Amazon she would have found the bundle with the same attachments from the TikTok shop. Also this device is known for the heated brush because it’s a dupe for the Amika blowout babe thermal brush so honestly this was comparing apples to oranges. I love Hope so no disrespect.

Okay hope love your channel love you but that first one no it should have gone to Amazon I'll give you the reasons why you yourself said the dress had a bad smell then on top of that the dress didn't look nowhere near as good as the Amazon version now both of them did not look like the original version completely they had similarities but the Amazon version at least gave you the midsection which was ribbed and it also gave you the ribbons in the back and I'm guessing it didn't have a smell because you didn't mention one and you also mentioned that there was more blues in the fabric which gave the sparkle a much more greater presentation so by that I will have to say Amazon

Now if we were talking multiple hundreds or thousands of dollars that would be different. The battery test I'm confused, batteries wear out differently, not to mention idk if it's the same iphone model. I think that the Tiktok shop is doing the same thing that Temu does which is they put their price lower to make people buy from them. I've read that Temu loses 80% of their profit with their sales, and long term, that won't be sustenable for them. So because everything is cheap on TikTok or Temu for the same products compared to Amazon doesn't mean that these prices are going to be that low forever.

Here in Brasil there was a sudden surge of this app called Shopee that looked just like AliExpress and everything was really cheap with no shipping and there was crazy sales all the time (I bought a bag of little rocks to put on my succulents for R$1,00 with no shipping), but now they only offer no shipping above a certein price and lower the price on promo days. Just one word of caution about TikTok shop (I still buy from it, but do so with this knowledge); with my first order the post office tracking said my package was delivered but it wasn't. I got another package that day (different business) so I knew the mail had been delivered. I called the post office and they dug into the tracking number and surprise surprise, they have been finding that the drop shipping companies are using the same tracking number and shipping labels to pay for shipping of multiple packages and just changing the addresses on the labels. The post office found that the package with my tracking number sent by the TikTok shop was not even addressed to me or my address. The post master told me this is sadly not the first time they have found this to have happened.

I did a return for tiktok and it was a terrible experience. It never let me access the return label, the page would say "this page is processing please check again tomorrow" and it said that for almost a week. And to get ahold of anyone was terrible too. Took almost a month to get it figured out and tiktok just ended up refunding me and told me to donate the items. So in the end it worked out for me but I would have rather have had a smooth normal return.

As someone who worked at Amazon, I can tell you these are just bulk-produced items that got sent to any big company willing to handle them. The ones missing stuff or without proper packaging were most likely customer returned items that were sent back to the originally seller to do with whatever they deemed. A lot of sellers will simply resell them "as is" whereas Amazon itself goes through a damage/return process. A lot of the time sellers will dump their products at warehouses and refuse to handle any returns or damages or even refuse to take them back (I've seen products sit for 9+ months), but usually Amazon will gather returned or damaged items and ship them back to the seller if there are issues. It's a headache with drop-shipped and mass produced items tbh. An incredible waste of everyone's time, money, and energy imo.

Agree. The differences in prices are just the way that the logistics is handled from both Amazon and TikTok. Like they have deals with the sellers, warehouses, shipping etc etc - it all literally comes from the same factories in china and the sheer volume is what counts for the discrepancies in what you get. Amazon and TikTok are just the middleman between the consumer and the factory (much as it is for most retail). For this kind of trash product I just go straight to the source and buy from aliexpress. I mean, the TikTok shop is the same model as Amazon it seems - just with a different financial agreement with its sellers. The consumer is getting the same product more or less.

It's all the same things though. They're ALL dropshipped from China, and the sellers on Amazon just charge more because they can, and will still make sales. In the end most of them are the same exact products. Not including the original products that have been duped of course.... but Amazon is like...99% dupes at this point.

Something to consider, since Amazon is guilty of this, too, is that when businesses like these try to get a hold on the market, they will lower their prices for the same products to try and get people into their service over the ones they already know and drive other online retailers out of business, so I definitely wouldn't put it past TT. Amazon famously has done this for medication and books, and once they got what is essentially the monopoly on the online store/shipping market, the prices went waay back up, and now they can charge whatever they want since it's one of the only places you can get stuff online.

I agree. Her logic was strange. The first 2 dresses for example, the blue one had better quality, and she said herself that she thought it was much better. Yet, she gave the pink dress with poor quality fabric a point as well, because it cost less? The hair curler is another example. She used 2 different attachments for the comparison, which makes zero sense. Why would you test a completely different attachment, when you have 2 identical attachments you could compare? Even if one attachment was a bit bigger/fatter, I’t would have at least been a fair comparison. I love hope, but sometimes it feels like she makes the most random or illogical choices, for the sake of it. I don’t know if it’s to cause a reaction on the audience, but I doubt it’s not in some way intentional. Adding that the whole premise of this video, was about what deal was better, but all her choices for the best deals, were the worst ones for the most part. A good deal by definition is whats good quality but saves money. Buying a product with bad material quality (the pink dress), isn’t a good deal, because it won’t last. On the other hand, the blue dress which had better material quality, would be the better deal, because it would last longer, meaning you’d save money because you wouldn’t need to replace it any time soon.

I don’t think you should be using Amazon prime for these videos, as it’s not actually free and lots of people can’t afford a monthly subscription just for free shipping. Plus prime is also faster shipping, you wait a lot longer when you don’t have prime.

I have to ask how the score would have turned out if you factored in the ability to return something for a refund. I know with Amazon, returning anything is a breeze. Does TikTok have that same ease of return? If I am trying a new product from an unknown vendor, I want to know that if it's meeting my expectation that the return/refund is a simple process.
