Main Street Bar and Grill is the bomb! Frequented there back in 2014. Cheap drinks, great staff and terrific food.

Love the videos! Wife and I are both Architects relocating from Baltimore and are trying to get a feel for the areas we might be interested in. These have been a big help! Drove through Hopkins mainstreet just the other week!

While they have some fair points... 1.) "Lack of Target" seems ridiculous as the Knollwood Target is literally sitting within feet of the Hopkins' border. Plus proximity to Ridgedale. 2.) "Lack of outdoor activities" seems to ignore the bike trail systems, the many nearby Three River Parks (e.g. Big Willow area), and also Shady Oak Beach.

Could you help me find an apartment in Eden Prairie I live in Hopkins right now but want to move out

Hmmm....we've owned our house in The Avenues neighborhood of Hopkins for almost 27 years. Your comment about low home ownership strikes me as odd - Hopkins is only about 7 miles in diameter yet it's packed with single family homes (most of them owner occupied). Lot sizes are pretty small so there are scores and scores of options for home buyers.

It’s a statistic from the census bureau :) www.census.gov/quickfacts/fact/table/hopkinscityminnesota/HSG445219 I think because it’s small and there are a fair amount of larger apartment buildings near the city center that statistic leans towards rentals.

@@lorri763 fellow Hopkins homeowner here! :) Hopkins is only 4 sq mi in total area. Ownership rate tends to hover around 30%, which is considerably lower than not only our west metro neighbors, but Minneapolis itself. Like it or not, the average home in Hopkins is an affordable apartment. That will only be more true with the multifamily projects on the horizon. Single family owner-occupied homes have been a minority in Hopkins for quite some time (I would guess since the early 1990s), and that will only be more true as time goes one. Hopkins, relative to SLP, Edina, and Minnetonka, has a considerably lower rate of home ownership, a much lower average home price, and a considerably lower average income. This is, basically, due to the fact the average housing unit in Hopkins is an apartment (and a considerable portion is senior housing).
