I'm a new tech for dish, and only been on my own for a week now and just spent 3 extra hours in a new install, 3 room, hopper 1, 2 Joey 1s and I accidentally cut the internet line ( I didn't know coax carried internet) our new trainer is a total asshat.

I had to do this stuff on my first day on my own and it only took about 2 hours

When in doubt run new lines for your host, client and ODU lines. Don't make that risk damaging, and always verify customer internet and previous TV provider.

What size bits do you use for the driver and the drills?

1/4 5/16 and 1/2 both for deepwell and impact

Do you preinstall any download data from home or office before taking said receivers to customers so the job will be faster? Im a new tech and im trying to get as much work done as fast as possible. Any help is appreciated

Some do, some don't. I'm in CATV not satellite but our company provides all the tools for us. I know of cable companies where you need to provide your own. I would assume that Dish and Direct TV are the same.

The In House Dish And some RSPs do. Contractors your on your own. I worked for a RSP for a while and I was provided everything. Now I work for an in house cable company and it’s luxury .

Mountain Storm At the very least the could stop screwing with youtubers...... It doesn't help them if your own subscribers don't get a notification of your new videos. (Its their ad rev too.......)
