Wait, figure 8 pattern on the mic for more chug? New things to try out, more things to learn.

Yeah you get more low end response from fig 8, more proximity effect. One reason ribbons can be brutal combined with a dynamic

@@adamsteelproducer I was wondering if that was why ribbon mic’s have that beefier bottom end that sounds awesome with an sm57. Thanks for enlightening me.

This does sound quite good, man. I dare say I might even like it a little bit... and I'm not a Peavey guy!

I dunno if anyone here can answer my question, but I just got the Syn1 and my sag and volume (the VOL next to the sag) do not seem to work. What am i doing wrong?

It should work bro, probably you need to return your unit and ask for a new one

There’s more than one output if I remember right? They don’t all respond to sag

@@MattDTN As per the manual www.synergyamps.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/SYNERGY-SYN-1-MANUAL-10-6-21.pdf "Volume" is affected when running along with other amp's channels. There's no mention about "Sag" being bypassed anytime tough.

@@adamsteelproducer ok but I do have the 6505 and the Bogner Ectasy, and neither responds. Which seems odd. Thanks for your response

Synergy stuff is looking so killer , I wanna try the green module 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
@thomastucker5686 Жыл бұрын
I pay attention to this stuff mostly because Steve Fryette built my amp in 1998 and we had conversations about the build. Steve also designed a Synergy module. If these modules were $100 US dollars, it would be fun to have them all, but at $400, no way. The other thing I find interesting about guitar wankers, instead of focusing on the one true way to achieve fantastic tone(practice = performance = great tone), they are always searching for the magic bullet that doesn't exist. Basically taking religious thinking into the guitar world and applying 'faith'. If you cannot make the shittiest guitar and the shittiest amplifier sound good, it is your playing, not the gear. Please re-read last sentence until you get it. This is not aimed at Adam by the way.

Yeah you have to be playing good or even a killer rig will sound crap. But having the right sounding gear makes all the differnce! After 30+ years of playing I have my rig sounding how I like it, even down to pickup make a difference, so much so that I have to change out some SD I was trying coz they just dont sound as good as my fave's. Changing to Fryette 50/2/50 power amp a few years back was also a huge upgrade in my tone. I agree there expensive once you pay for 2 or 3 modules and the Syn2 rack. Steve re-designed the new Synnergy system I belive, and was original created by Bruce Egnator? years back, then used in Randals?

Thing is, you have all these distortion and overdrive pedals these days going for $300, $400 and more. These Synergy modules give you a lot more than most of those pedals. Music equipment as a whole has an unreasonable markup.

You want to have literally the preamps from the best tube amps on the planet for less than a decent overdrive pedal??? Keep dreaming. These are a steal at $400 vs buying the actual amp.
@AtTheSourceStudios Жыл бұрын
The problem with just running a preamp to any power amp is that the power amps in every amp are tailored to the preamp of that specific amp so the Synergy preamp will not be as accurate as it would be if it was with a Synergy power amp or a designated transparent stand alone power amp, tube or solid state that's meant to reproduce preamps sound in full. A better comparison would be the 6505 preamp in a Syn-30/50 amp compared to the 5150. I think what we're hearing here is just that the power amp of the 5150 has less low end to compensate for low end coming from the built in 5150 preamp. The Syn-1 is a great idea but needs a very specific scenario for it to sound it's best.
@LeeB-l6y Жыл бұрын
The idea is that you're hearing how accurate the synergy preamp is in terms of the original preamp section through the same power section.
@benchops2004 Жыл бұрын
A lot to take in here. In tune at 6 min, and yes running through the preamp section will likely help the tone sound somewhat similar. But the main tosh is that the tone is not only not good, but not representative of what the amp 10:10 can actually do. If you want to nueter your range and playing style to match this device to help sell them than do so, but it sounds NOTHING like a properly tubed, or valved for your region, amp that is set to the classic tones. I love the enthusiastic 6 minute of 11 minute video explanation but good grief its really a lot of buildup for a letdown.

Dude, I need this box! How many watts is it? Does it have a sweet spot? Is it transgender friendly? Covid compatible? Would Dylan Mulvaney approve? Can it get Eddy's "Smells like teen spirit" tone? Asking for a friend
