Nice list. But I recommend… 1. A travel adapter. You can plug into any outlet with an international travel adapter. You can’t do that with a power strip. 2. A collapsible water bottle. A solid water bottle is too bulky. 3. A packable daypack. Whether you have a backpack, duffel or spinner - you can easily have a packable daypack when you need it.

I take two pairs of headphones for traveling. One 3.5 jack headphones for the airplane ride and a Bluetooth pair for the destination. Also, for the frugal, don't sleep on the Dollar stores. You can find a lot of items useful for your trip. You mentioned a USB stick. I would also suggest an OTG cable or OTG Thumb Drive. Happy traveling ✈

Mr Dacus come to think of it, I shouldn’t have assumed that getting one pair of headphones that has both Bluetooth and a 3.5 jack would be a better option, especially when it comes to size. Sorry about that. For example, if you are carrying those 3.5 jack ear buds that came with your phone and an in-the-ear Bluetooth ear phones, it would take up much less space in your carry on. The Sony’s are slightly bigger and always take up more room in my bag than I would like.

Only thing I felt was totally unnecessary was the power bar. You need to get a good 20,000mAh powerbank with pass thru charging with at least 2 ports that pump out at least 2A each. Then all you need is a universal adaptor and a single port fast charger to charge the powerbank while it charges 2 other devices. If your devices don't have USB charging, you're just going to end up carrying a lot of plugs and chargers. The only device you should be plugging into the wall is your laptop, because a powerbank with the ability to charge a laptop isn't worth the extra weight.
@outlucked5 жыл бұрын
If you have a laptop that charges via USB C it might be worth getting a powerbank with USB C Power Delivery. You would need just one USB C charging cable total and get the option to give your laptop juice on the go if you need it. Make sure to get one that can output enough watts for the laptop you have.
@jdshl84235 жыл бұрын
@@outlucked, USB C or not, I still think it isn't a great idea to charge a laptop with a power bank because it drains it so fast. Frankly, what do you need to do on a laptop on the move that you can't do with a mobile phone? The alternative would be to get a massive sized power bank which won't make it as carry on.

If you're a frequent traveller, then you should know you can never travel without... - a good set of titanium utensils. it's so light and don't add any space in your pack - a good water filter 💦 (eg, Sawyer or Grayl) because you never know the cleanliness of water where you are - a good watch is so important. Never travel with cheap ass watch like what's recommended here. You don't want your tool to fail during your trip. A G-Shock Master-series watch is my travel companion but there are so many good ones out there, not one...made of wood 🤷♂️ - bring a light, foldable day pack. The one shown here are wayyy too bulky 🙄. I pack a sling bag from Code of Bell and also pack a 45L foldable lightweight duffel inside my backpack, just in case my luggage overflow (souvenirs/shopping etc) on my way back. - always carry a TSA friendly multi-tool, nail clipper & nail file. These are so vital during trips and you'll need to stay clean and hygienic even when you're on the road - a powerful but small USB rechargeable torchlight (especially if you need to leave your hotel in the middle of the night to another destination to catch the sunrise or something). They won't add any bulk - the power bar recommended here is too bulky and too restrictive. Look for something like a TOFU MARU for an all-in-one solution - if space is a premium, bring a BT noise cancelling earbud instead of a bigger headphone to save some previous luggage space - always pack a waterproof sandals that can also substitute for your shoes for a short walk around town. I never travel without my Bedrock sandals. - bring some cooling ❄ body wipes. You need them under hot sun or after a long day walking. Great to clean up before you board a flight and before you land at your destination...these will change your travel life forever. - never bring bulky glass toiletries bottle when there are better and lighter silicone toiletry bottles available. Muji sell loads of them as does Humangear. Every once counts when travel light - bring a phone with camera(s) in case you get robbed in India 😅 That way you can still take travel photos during your trip Some luxury items (if you have the space in your bag) - a Hi-res DAP (good quality music are so vital for me YMMV of course) - a bluetooth speaker (I like to put on some meditation or relaxing music especially when in a cold and lonely hotel room) - a travel kettle (most hotels in Asia will provide one but hotels in Europe and N.America don't). I can always relax with a warm drink after a long day sightseeing...some prefer a cold beer, and again YMMV Post-Covid travel... - some extra reusable face mask - anti-bacterial wipes - some nitrile gloves

You absolutely never used that Gandys backpack and just pulled it out of the packaging. I know because I have this exact POS backpack and after 1-2 days of use it will look nothing like that. Oiled cotton will soften and the color will lighten after a while. The stiffness of that bag goes away super fast too and it won't hold its shape the same way you're holding it. Please, no one buy that Gandys backpack because it is not even close to "Super durable" after 7 months of light use the stitching is pulling away, the zippers are starting to fail and if it rains the bag becomes EXTREMELY heavy and is not even close to water resistant (As they claim). The leather strap on the top also PERPETUALLY sits between your back and the backpack which when you're running around and airport and taking it on and off gets extremely annoying. Watch at 3:53 as you can see on the top stitch is has already started to pull away!
