I was also thinking schizophrenia in a way, but a very mild case. Now that I think about it, lots of mental conditions have the side effect of uncontrollable thoughts and self-doubt. I relate to this song as well being a recovering drug addict. The brain plays sick tricks on us sometimes that can be near impossible to control. The quote near the end of the song was very nice to hear- we can learn a lot from middle eastern ways of thought and spirituality. @@carsonfranklin4633 Yeah Hopsin doesn't just throw some catchy beats and rhymes together. There's a lot of depth to most of his music, and he's obviously an intelligent guy. That being said, I don't know exactly what you're going through, but I definitely understand the state of mind this song is about. I just wanted to encourage you to not let those kind of thoughts get to you. It helps to try to frame them in a completely different manner. There's a wide spectrum of consciousness, self awareness, internal dialogue, etc. It's commonly thought to be closer to 20-30% currently, but previous research had shown that about 50% of people have no internal dialogue! Which is crazy to think about for someone who is in their own head a lot. Having a lot of awareness can be a burden, but it can also be a powerful tool. We aren't born with an instruction manual for a brain, but there are plenty of techniques for self improvement if you know where to look. It could be meditation, philosophy, regular exercise, improving your diet, therapy, etc., etc. You got it brother.

@DalerMehndiDeekSheik Жыл бұрын
@@carsonfranklin4633 Totally understand. What you're going through sounds a lot like a younger me. We're all products of our environment, and mainly because of how I grew up I had a short fuse which led to a lot of fights and trouble. I didn't want to come off preachy, but since you asked, there are some specific things that really helped me deal with this kind of stuff. More than that, it literally changed my life in certain moments, and the right knowledge is like tools you carry with you for the rest of your life. So, the first thing I would look into is Stoicism. It's a philosophy that's well over 2000 years old, and it's very simple to grasp and start applying it to your life the first day you read about it's core principles. The most important one, and what applies to helping with your current situation is literally just being able to separate things into what you can and can't control. If you can't control a situation(or someone's thoughts, feelings, etc.), then you shouldn't devote any headspace to it, talk about, act on it, etc. Just filtering out bs that's out of your control will save you a lot of time and headaches. Then for the rest of the stuff you possibly can have some impact on, it's a case by case basis that I guarantee will evolve as you get older. For example, similar to your situation, when I was in high school and college, there were definitely times where I took it upon myself to verbally put someone in their place for being above my tolerance for disrespect, and more times than I'd like to admit where I skipped that step straight to knocking someone out. Nowadays, as the saying goes, ain't got time for that unless someone is an immediate threat to me or one of my people. Couple more suggestions....I got a daily Stoicism book to start this year off to help keep my mind right everyday. It's called The Daily Stoic. It's really easy to read, and the author does a great job of converting the ancient writing into practical modern advice. Literally takes like 2 minutes for the page for each day, and it's like your own personal life coach and motivational support. I've read a ton of philosophy, psychology, self help, and other books if you need more suggestions at some point, but I highly, highly, recommend starting with just this one. Besides that brother, physical discipline helped me be a lot more mentally disciplined too. A healthy mind and body go together. For me it started out as weight training. Then I kinda got addicted to it because I enjoy it so much, and especially the positive impact it had on my life. I think joining a boxing gym, and then progressing into kickboxing then mma helped me the most though. Unsurprisingly, being in really good shape and people knowing that you're a trained fighter filters out a lot of bullshit that people used to put me through. For the parts you can't filter out, the mental strength you'll gain from physical strength and discipline will make it seem like life is on easy mode compared to what you've been wrestling with. It doesn't have to be weights or fighting, but most importantly find what you enjoy most because you'll actually stick with it. Even if it's just walking 30 minutes a day, I won't go into the science behind it, but it will help in a lot of ways. Specifically it helps a lot with your state of mind, the chemicals your brain is releasing, and the ability to regulate your emotions and thoughts. I've found that meditation helped me a lot in that way too, but it can be difficult to get into. If you're curious about it I can recommend some beginner books or give some tips on it too. Also, yeah you nailed it about pain. Some people are either oblivious or completely lack empathy. Life has a way of catching up with people like that without you needing to act on it though. Personally, I wouldn't want anyone, even my worst enemy to feel the pain I've gone through. I still have PTSD from some of the particularly rough stuff, and that's part of why I always at least try to help out anyone going through it. Sorry for the novel, but hopefully that helps. I'll leave you with one last idea. Living well is the best revenge. I try not to think in terms of getting back at people these days if it can be avoided, but throughout my life, I've had plenty of people screw me over, ditch me, look down on me and try to bring me down.... nothing shuts people like that and the internal self doubt up more than being successful. If you need to, there's nothing wrong with using other's or your own negativity, anger, or whatever emotions to motivate you to achieve whatever goals. Just don't dwell on negativity to the point that it eats you up. Just like physical exercise, you can train your brain and build it up to be stronger in whatever way you want over time. Holler if you need anything or any of that wasn't clear.

Yall dont even know The man speaking at the end of the video is literally teachin a nugget of gold How to not let your mind control you no matter how depressed you are God showed me that same advice in his words To make my screaming thoughts go silent when i was getting sober

Hopsin is more honest with his feelings with complete strangers than my best friend is with me.

Maybe cause you dont care what complete strangers think about you unlike a good friend not everyone has an outlet to let out the emotion

i use this writing as a way to escape cause i got a lot of build up emotion and things to say that i cant express to your face i pray everything will be okay god please take me away and let my soul rest peacefully - just a piece of something i wrote
