Is it strange that I got there from TOTP video showcasing the EXACT SAME choreography for Gershon Kingsley's 1969 "Popcorn" song? Did BBC use older footages for other music as well, recycling completely different airing? Too expensive to shoot a new video?

This is the original footage for this song. They just played the Popcorn track and ran this video for some reason. It doesn't match at all. O this video you can actually see one of the girls singing to the song

Thats the two of us then. I have to say that some of the moves to this track also don´t really fit ;)

Make it 3. The dancing looks way, way more consistent with "Pop Corn", which also fits rather seamlessly with the clapping and announcer at the end. Way too energetic of dancing for this smooth tune. Evidently very little footage from c. 1970 TOTP still exists.

@@isshyboy They shouldn't have done that. Now we all think that 1960's teens or young adults were grooving to electronic music a whole 20 years before electronic music became a thing. It's like finding out Santa isn't real. ;(

At 1.16 and 2.06 - Waht was that girl in the brown top and her partner dancing to? Seemed like a different song? Seemed happy enough though. Mad as a hatter!

I think it was, an proto-electro-pop tune called "Pop Corn": kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJu3aHh5mqh-hZI&start_radio=1 But people commenting on the other video say this one. I think the dancing announcements, and hand clapping after the track was played are much more consistent with "Pop Corn". You decide.
