ah... when this Horimiya anime (season 1) first aired, all the manga-readers were like both ecstatic to have this animation, but at the same time sad that so much was getting left out or skipped. For example, anime-only people were hating on Remi the first couple of episodes she appeared and all the manga-readers were "no no... she's really a great character and so loveable". So now you're seeing a lot of "pieces" that's in the manga and why the manga readers were upset that it was skipped. This mangaka is really good at making her characters real and that the situations you see them in could actually happen or have happened to regular people. They're simple and not exaggerated, but yet they're still entertaining and interesting because they feel so.... normal.

Remi was actually my favorite after season one. Moments like when she was asking Hori if she can have miya since they weren’t dating were never things I took as serious but always her trying to get Hori to be honest with herself and give her a push. It really sold it for me when we got to understand her and sengokus relationship and how much she cares and pushes him was the cutest. Mixed with some moments to show her silliness as well it sold me. Also her big must protect energy. This season is only furthering my initial feelings about her as my fav.

@@grizz1 The first time meeting Remi is her picking up documents from Hori for the student council, and finding out that Hori is probably doing her work. Then she runs into Miyamura and drops the documents. The next day, Hori is being publicly accused of not submitting one of the documents to the student council. So this whole episode the audience is given the impression that Sengoku is a bully and Remi is incompetent and allows somebody else to take the fall instead of her. So for anime-only people, a lot of people really didn't like her at first.
