Thanks for the review. What would you recommend for HIIT, changing form 3mph to 7mph quickly and often for $1,500 to $2,500 or under for 1 user (175 pounds) less than 50 miles a week and 22 x 60 belt desired? I like this unit for the quick speed change, but are there other options?

Check out our comparison chart on www.bigguytreadmillreview.com - we have that stat for every treadmill we tested. You will see our tested results for speed / acceleration in seconds. There is a HUGE difference between treadmills.

Mike, it is possible the "high speed" motors that can adjust the interval speed quickly lack the torque to prevent the "run away belt" issue. This could just be a tradeoff of having a treadmill like the horizon that increases the speed more quickly. Nice job on all your reviews.

no. this is a problem with the overall design. many treadmill that adjust the acceleration quickly dont have issues with being able to control the speed at incline.

Big Daddy Mike thank you for sacrificing your health to stay 300lbs year round at your age to provide us these wonderful reviews. Your word is the only one I trust. This treadmill along with the Sole f80 are shilled on Reddit like crazy

Bro, you know I am all about the team!! And soda and pizza and wings; BBQ, well you get the point. Thanks for reaching out and glad to hear you like the videos. We do our best! Most people never dig in past the first layer of "advertising" online so they never really get to the real reviews. Thanks!

And sometimes you have to admit when you are wrong. I stated on here I had no issues with getting the treadmill up to incline and having the speed issue...well I was going up on incline slowly. Taking it from 5 to 15 today, the belt shot out like a bat out of hell, just like Big Guy Treadmill said. Crazy...seems to be systemic and thank you BGTR...if I had not watched this video, I would not have been as prepared for it happening.

Wow, that is bad. We were kind of hoping it was only our batch but if it happened to you too! Glad to hear you were not hurt. Kind of sounds like Horizon needs to consider a recall on their Horizon 7.8 or someone could get injured. Thanks for letting us know about this!

I just bought the Horizon 7.4AT Treadmill and it does the same thing on 15% incline but not at 12% incline…my old Nordictrack never did that…it’s a shame I can’t return but it seems that Horizon treadmills have this issue with all their treadmills.

I am 6'05 and 275 and use the same treadmill. I have not encountered that issue at all and have gone all the way up to 15 as part of my regular routine. Mine did have an issue with the fan that required a service call...wonder if something is wrong with yours. I love this beast.

We would not have made such a big deal but it happened to me on both the 7.0 and the 7.8 Treadmill. That shows a pattern of consistency. Glad to hear it did not happen on yours.
