One of my favorite line of dialogue is when Tilda asked what Aloy and Beta are talking about and she says “That… is between me and my sister” Horizon is a MUCH better story now that she has friends and family she loves and trust

I really fell in love with this game as the first one was Aloy learning about herself and where she came from. Following behind Elizabets footsteps. Where in this game it’s her becoming Aloy, as Tilda put it. “The best version of herself” Elizabet became recluse in her end, Aloy choose not to. To keep humanity she needs humanity and I agree. Seeing her have friends and family made this game so extraordinary

I remember when I first found her holo message, right after Gemini of course, I was QUICK to check out her room. But goodness my heart wasn't ready, considering the prior events. I don't know how people were so quick to hate her character, she's the best.

There's this weird psychological quirk that sometimes people who are in denial of their insecurities are off-put when seeing people struggle with their own. That might be a reason.

icl i really strongly disliked her, then when they had the bonding moment and the rost discussion a switch flipped I guess

This whole time, ever since the trailer came out, Aloy has been struggling with her singularity. "This mission is mine, alone/Only I can do/Only I have your genetic code" Even though she has friends that are always ready to jump in and help, it's just not the same. She felt she was the only one who had this burden of saving the world, of trying to mend and repair a lot of broken and destroyed bits of the world she lives in. Now that she's not alone, and she has someone who understands that burden and shares it with her, it makes everything different. It's not Elizabet's dream that she has to fulfill, not anymore. I really wanna take Beta to Nora lands and show her Rost's grave. And talk about him more. I kinda hope that's what they're doing behind the scenes xD

I hope that in Horizon 3 we'll get to visit the Odyssey spaceship and there will be a scene where Beta encounters her old room again. Could be quite emotional.

Never hated her, but at times she made me so mad, like having a younger sister lol, I remember when my friend pointed that out and I was like god damn these writers and developers are good

It’s amazing how the dialog changes depending when during the story you undertake certain side quests. They really have made a world that feels alive and NPCs have actual memories of events and how Aloy can influence things. The map also physically changes as Aloy brings back more subfunctions to GAIA and the AI starts to improve the weather, remove the poison from rivers and clear up the blight.

I hope *_NEMESIS_* can be redeemed rather than just destroyed in the remaining trilogy. It would also be nice if there were multiple possible endings, rather than just one.

So whats with the random Elizabet Sobeck holo in that room? Aloy doesnt even react at all.
@fernomoon2 жыл бұрын
Well, it's Beta's room. I think it seemed obvious to Aloy that Beta would keep Elisabet's holo close, just as Aloy was holding onto Elisabet's pendant. It just prooves that they both wanted to view Elisabet as their mother figure, always close.
@senyuri74962 жыл бұрын
@@fernomoon I also think it's because after Beta and Aloy bond through their pre-gemini convo, Beta used Lis' holo as a reminder and comfort of her capabilities and self-worth, like how Aloy used Rost's holo to show Beta. Either way, I think considering how much support Beta had lacked her whole life, Lis' legacy would be the immediate thing that eased her sorrows.

Aloy does not deserve this message since all she did was having Varl being there for her while she was changing the world with her brilliant insight to everything and everyone... and when she turned back she got mad at Beta's justified incapability of socializing... I hate Aliy in this game and for some reason hoped Beta took her place after Aloy sacrificed herself. Aloy needs to learn manners. Rost teachings were not remotely followed by her.
@ar1sm702 жыл бұрын
To be fair, it's hard to learn manners in practice when Rost was literally her only human interaction for all of her life. By the end of the game, she has learned a lot about what it means to have friends and letting people in. Let's see what the DLC brings.
@pst53452 жыл бұрын
@@ar1sm70 Rost was a very positive father figure and had a likewise impact on her. He trained her 20 years to be fit for joining a society with rules. He did not raise her to be a know-it-all. My biggest issue is that she knows about the importance of her experience and gained knowledge but does not try to bring that to the others. Instead she treats everybody in power like an idiot instead of talking to them... which most are very well capable of. Her behavior does not make sense to me.
@ar1sm702 жыл бұрын
@@pst5345 As good a man as Rost was, Aloy was still raised in complete isolation with only him as a human contact, and he wasn't the warmest of people. Meanwhile literally everyone she came across at best didn't speak to her and at worst actively disparaged her and called her a motherless curse. Is it any wonder she's a loner and doesn't much care for the tribe..? She still came a long way in FW, finally learning the importance of letting people in. As for treating people like an idiot, again look at the facts. She knows what's going on in the world and has to deal with people who worship a door (Nora), people who worship the sun (Carja) and people who base their entire culture on an old military museum (Tenakth). It's like dealing with children. What is she supposed to say to the Matriarchs for example? That their entire lives and culture have been a meaningless lie? That's a cruel thing to do, so she has to work around them. Personally, I find her to have the patience of a saint considering the stakes...
@victoriasharpe16612 жыл бұрын
Yeah when it came to Beta Aloys reactions didn't make much sense to me. Aloy knows exactly what it's like to live as an outsider, in solidarity. So you'd think she would understand her situation. Her main hang up was she kept comparing her to Liz, when it's not fair too. She maybe her DNA, just like Aloy, but its life and experience that make a person. It's understandable that Beta was so negative, she's never once had a kind word given to her. Aloy should have realised that. So yeah, Aloy annoyed me in this, that is until she accepted everybody into her heart and called Beta sister.

I did the last part of this video next to Beta, and her next conversation prompt ended up being "It's good to be back, Aloy" 🥹
