Interacting with Beta throughout the Burning Shores

I was really convinced that in the DLC we would see Beta in a cutscene...instead nothing. Still, I'm glad that she's in it somehow, and that she shows her affection for Aloy. Now we just have to wait for the third chapter...and I can't wait!

Yeah, I was also disappointed because of that, but the moments we do see her in are wholesome enough for me not to complain 😂

This is also the only thing that really disappointed me about the main game. You save Beta and GAIA and can't interact with them much afterwards. It lacks a bit of closure. I was also hoping that they might fix that in the DLC, but nothing. Very sad!

Ashley burch is incredible! I love that Aloy and Beta sound distinctly different from each other but neither sounds like shes 'putting on a voice'!!

She also plays Tiny Tina/Tina in Borderlands 2, 3, The Assault On Dragon Keep, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands and if you listen to Tina and Aloy, you would think they're two different VA's. Ashley's range IS INSANE!

I’m amazed on how much Beta changed throughout the game. She was once scared and alone and now she’s smiling and gained more confidence. It’s because of Aloy that Beta started to believe that anything is possible and it’s because of Beta that Aloy has family.

Beta's participation in Burning Shores is limited, even Sylens had more presence in the DLC than Beta. Guerrilla Games is saving the best of Beta for Horizon 3, Beta will have much more relevance in the next installment, I even dare to say that Beta will replace Sylens, More so now that Lance Reddick is no longer here, it would be a good way to develop Beta, NOT ONLY having to find a way to deal with Hephaestus but also against Nemesis.

And here I was hoping Beta would be the first to fly with Aloy. Beta means the world to Aloy, as the only tangible and living trace of Elisabet😢

And not only that, Beta's probably the second person after Rost to feel the closest to a family that Aloy had.

@@ArghyadeepPal Exactly. I was really hoping we’d get more of Beta and Aloy working together, maybe on a mini mission. Aloy & Beta have about 19 years worth of catching up to do. Maybe Beta is still too nervous about this new world to step out very much, but guides Aloy while she recovers Apollo from the Odyssey & through more Zenith bunkers The final chapter of the DLC could’ve been Aloy introducing Beta to the smaller machines and the Specters that she overrides to help her with her trauma of being kept prisoner by the Specters, just outside the Base and then encouraging her to ride with her on the Waterwing because Aloy needs Beta to be closer to the Horus to shut down some of its defenses or something Since Aloy & Beta started bonding only after they resolved their frustrations with each other towards the end of Forbidden West and then Beta just stood at the Base & commented on the events of Burning Shores and there was hardly any moment for bonding between the long lost sisters then, Guerilla will have to work harder to make sure they bond well in the final game without it feeling rushed

She's aiding Aloy from the base in one mission, and we speak with her briefly in the beginning, but yeah, it's not much. But i guess i can understand that. I'm choosing to be hopeful that this means we'll see a lot of her in the third installment!

This dialogue is really nice but it annoys me how missable this is. The average player is not going to travel back to the base to speak to beta especially in the post game as theres nothing to do there. Wouldnt it have just been better if beta just spoke to aloy on the focus?

While I dislike the Aloy/Seyka plotline (not because it makes her gay, but because they bearly know each other. Vanasha or Petra would have made more sense), I like how Beta has already matured enough to be acting in a joking matter to be commenting on her sisters potential love interest.

For such a progressive game, it certainly backtracked to the outdated, obligatory love interest of the week model that you see in old shows like James bond.
