They really did nail NG+ for this game. Most surprised but ecstatic they gave us all the special gear when we entered The Daunt and also the flying mount although you have to override a new Sunwing and the earliest opportunity is on top of your base. I’m doing two NG+ runs first on easy to spend the new champion points and farm all the upgrades for the weapons, armour & gear I’ll use on my second playthrough on Ultra Hard :)

I went through the melee pits on NG+ Very Hard ( to more quickly get and upgrade all the new weapons) Then again on NG+ Ultra Hard and it does NOT increase your spear damage any further.

I love these changes ng+ feels like how it should. Playing it on buffed up mode with more buffed up things to do instead of doing the same things over with no change. I love that the sunwing and diving+flower gear is already unlocked. It was already such a headache to go through water stuff the first time around.

The color scheme of the new dyes..... the quen face paint.... VERY SUS. Orange is associated with fire and burning.... dlc expansion is very likely to be called The Burning Shores. Back in HZD we got a little bit of Banuk in the base game, but they became more central in TFW (granted, we did get Banuk armor in the base game, but still). In HFW, we've seen a little bit of Quen in the base game.... we got maybe one or two Quen weapons, I think..... but no armor. Now we get face paint in NG+. I'm guessing they might be central to the story of The Burning Shores expansion, and we'll get Quen armor and more Quen weapons (hopefully). It is kind of a bummer we didn't get new Legendary armor, but I guess they're saving that for the expansion. They can probably only make armor so powerful, plus I guess they want us to fully enjoy transmog.

Just started a NG+, and noticed two things. One, generic, is that dialog audio glitches are back, worse than before. Frustrating, but subtitles help. Second is about the Firegleam Igniter. I got an igniter at Latopolis during my first play through, and it worked fine when I started NG+. I was able to ignite firegleam all over the place... right up to the point when I got to the big door at Latopolis. At that point the game "forgot" that I had an igniter, and I had to go back to the bench to make a new one. Hmmm. I wonder if the same thing will happen to my Diving Mask when I get to "Sea of Sands"

Even though you get the sunwing override right away, you can't fly to LA, until the story sends you there. There is an invisible wall over the ocean. However the old trick of summoning the sunwing near this wall gets you through. The location loads perfectly, but when I went to the quen camp, the cutscene about meeting Ceo started playing immediately, but the according quest didn't appear. I don’t know if I broke the game by going there, but I hope I didn't.

sadly thats even neccessary in order to min max stuff, because sadly coils n weaves, the most useful ones are all limited to get only per playstrough a certain amount of time, forcing you to play through the game multiple times to get what you need in order to upgrade everything. Woudl have been alot more fun, if they woudl have designed the Arena and Hunting Grounds to be alot more rewarding and fun to REPLAY THEM to get useful upgrade rewards. replaying a game, should always be an OPTIONAl THING, not an enforced neccessary game design, just to get the upgrades you need for your equipment often enough to have not the terrible discomfort of having to swap out constantly your coils n weaves. Its understandable, that some things should be rare, but that can be done also by not having to play through the game like a douzend times. Giving the game instead well designed and well balanced endgame content that is repeatable, is the better way of game design that doesnt feel repetitive, like forcing you to play a game multiple hundreds of hours, just to get enough coils to upgrade soem weapons optimally the way you want them to have.

I'd like to see 1 issue fixed and 1 addition: 1.I'd like for an issue fixed of the campfires. Each time you want to either quick/manual save or fast travel you have to almost be right on the campfire. And it's too sensitive. Each time you move Aloy just a trigger the choices disappear quick. It's annoying as hell! 2.I would love to have a harpoon gun to hunt/fight the aquatic machines like the Tide Ripper or even the Burrowers underwater. I hunt machines on land would be nice if I could hunt underwater!

Best time to do ultra Hard would be on the 3rd playthrough that way you can grind all your weapons an armoured and equipment on the second time so you don't have to worry about resources on the third playthrough

That’s from the Hunter in scalding spear. You keep buying them on subsequent NG+ play throughs and stack them up for instant tear on anything.

I also noticed you are no longer able to visit the Far Zenith base or cross the ocean on a sunwing until the end of the game, even with the earlier tricks of gliding off and getting picked up by your mount, as the game now won’t even let you fly straight once you hit the barriers! Also, for those that wanted to change their response to Avad (romance or shut him down) in the prologue, that is now skippable, so either you will love that you can just jump back in or regret that you won’t get more play time with Varl…iykyk…🥺😢😭

The first time I play I missed all the dialogue option with varl at the base, and i didnt play strike with errend when ive the chance, now I won't made the same mistake. Go play strike with errend right before the last mission, that game is the one varl play with errend right before they head to Gemini.

Just finished ng+ on ultra hard with only level one legendaries because they are too much to level up on UH. It's very doable just make sure to loot everything through all your main missions.

I hope they do something like AC Odyssey where your extra skill points past soft cap can be used for stats. I have ~300 hours in AC Odyssey, did 4 playthroughs, plat trophy, everything in the game, and still had a small fraction of what I could get with the stat upgrades.

difference is forbidden west is actually challenging and those stat upgrades would be a lot more impactful. In AC Odyssey, once you reach a certain amount of assassin damage, you can one shot everything.

Although I guess it's not too disappointing, because frankly I found the sunwing a little too slow for some reason despite the fact that being in the air should get us places faster than ground machines.

Well an easy way to see if the extra Spear damage stacks is to see if it's been reset to pre-Melee Pit numbers. Is the increase still there from the regular game or has it been reset? Easy to check that.

Do your quest earned legendaries get taken when you start a ng+? Like do you have to re earn them?

So you lose any quest related weapons? Those don't carry over? Do they come already upgraded when you find them again if you had them upgraded before?

Stuck on new game plus. First mission where I have to upgrade my bow. No matter what I upgrade won’t work. My old bows are upgraded already.
