Horizon is definetely a really cool game with an incredible story. Can't wait for Forbidden West, BUT lemme tell you one thing: During this pandemic, when everyone was stuck inside home, when i booted up to play for the first time, MY MOM sat right next to me to watch the beggining.....and decided to follow up the entire journey, giving tips to where to go and trying to catch up/theorize the story. That was a very rare bonding moment, she ain't that attentious to game. So i really think Aloy's story made an impact on how my mom perceive gaming nowadays.

I just beat Horizon like 1 hour ago and then I get recommended this, what a treat! I can't really give any insight since almost everything from this game requires knowledge of the first one so almost anything I say would be spoilers but I do really recommend you guys play it, the story is really something else when you get down to it and the gameplay, while flawed, was enjoyable for quite some time. I just started the DLC called The Frozen Wilds and so far it's pretty interesting

I played Horizon Zero Dawn and it was phenomenal now this looks breathtaking and that some of the places looks straight out of a Final Fantasy game. Can’t wait for February 18! To be honest, the only reason I knew about Horizon Zero Dawn was because my friend is this big Playstation fan and knew about my love for Breath of the Wild. They came to me and just told me that Horizon Zero Dawn is Playstation's Breath of the Wild in a way of open world but a much richer story. While Breath of the Wild is truly open world, Horizon Zero Dawn makes it up for the story, combat and many more travel options. I'm just a sucker for post apocalyptic open world with just a hint of human reverting back to their tribe roots.

This is one of my favorite worlds. Not only is techno cavemen vs robot dinosaurs inherently awesome, the way it's essentially a Conan-esque fantasy setting that is entirely sci fi at the same time. Ghosts of the long dead ancients, that are holograms. Tomes of ancient knowledge that are tablet computers and usb sticks. Gods and devils that are AI's. Machines we recognize that are eldritch, cthulu like abominations beyond the characters' comprehension. *chef's kiss* And everything in the lore is so well woven together. You can see how religions started, and tribes formed, how the world ended up as it did. How a society would arise in a world where you can skip the stone, bronze and iron age, because there's naturally occurring steel readily available. It only got even better in the DLC where the puzzles, the human enemies, the missions, even the facial animation, everything was improved. And Gildun's the best spelunking buddy. And killing a rocket launcher shooting robot T-rex with a bow is pretty sweet. Play the first game, you have 3 weeks. It's story heavy, you're not going to want to jump in half way through.

You have to know synopsis of the first game to understand some of the clips ie the guy with the blue stuff in bedded in him. (Maybe watch cohh carnage gameplay of the first one to catch up so the second one makes sense) I preordered mine I can't wait to play!

Got my pre-order in! I think sometime this week I may have to boot up the original again so I can do another run through before Forbidden West comes out. Finally got my Platinum trophy for Skyrim Anniversary Edition last night (base game, still gotta do DLC trophies but that can wait), so now might be a decent time to do it. I just cannot find words adequate to describe how pumped I am for this game. Every single shot in these trailers looks like it's showing off, which is honestly kinda how the first one feels too lol. The original does a great job of world-building as you go, offering a ton of side content to keep you busy as you just kinda pick a direction to go and DO stuff...while the main story progression feeds you pieces of the overall story bit by bit to uncover just how this all got to be this way and what is really happening here. One of my favorite narrative experiences in a generally open-world game (some sections will be sealed off until specific story missions are completed, but otherwise it's pretty freaking open).

I definitely cannot wait to finally play Horizon Forbidden West!! Exploration and unlocking parts of the map were one of my favorite parts of Horizon Zero Dawn, it's one of the few games were I just stopped to admire how amazing the landscape is. If you do get time to play the first one, strategy, and quick thinking will definitely be key aspects to playing it. When it comes to the combat, Horizon pretty much let's you use whatever playstyle works best for you. Whether it's using stealth and drawing enemies into traps. Or keeping your distance and using a barrage of arrows or explosive grenades, or just using melee attacks. There's a lot of creative ways to defeat your enemies in this game. I really hope Horizon Forbidden West wins game of the year for 2022!

Before you play Zero Dawn, know that the dlc Frozen Wilds, is mandatory to play before Forbidden West. It’s recommended to be level 30 before playing the dlc but imo its level 40 (level cap is 60). Scour every nook and crevice since you can miss something that is not necessary for plot but powerful nonetheless.

Besides that, there's not that much I can say about them, as that would start becoming spoiler territory really quickly. Definitely worth it to play Horizon Zero Dawn! I never beat the first game but I'd have described it as Tomb Raider, God of War + ARK from what I have played. Game was incredibly difficult for me because of the giant open world, if you're not strong enough you basically have to stealth everywhere orrrr fight a robot t-rex every minute

At first I was like that's a lot of vegetation for just 1000 years idk, but then again I threw away ham earlier today that had a bunch of blue mold on it that I bought a week ago. I was like a giant chunk of mold too on the side I didn't open, I probably ate a sandwich or 2 since that started. I think the real enemy hear is nature. I see so many new machines that are going to be a pain in the ass learning to defeat hahaha, looking forward to this game's release. If you're worried about the game being too difficult (if you ever plan on making a playthrough series of it), it's only hard at the beginning when you're trying to get a hang of the game. All of the machines have weaknesses you can exploit, so as long as you learn them you'll be fine. Anything else I say is just going to be spoiler territory. Rewatching the trailers a few things are bothering, though I loved the game. First of all, I still think the climax was a little disappointing and the rebel Tremortusks were a little too under-utilized. Rumors about an even stronger tribe... the Quen or the Far Zenith?

The machines were made to make the Earth suitable for humans, Hephaestus was a program made for making the robots, but the humans started killing the robots for resources, this made him very mad. So he gave weapons and made them aggressive to humans so the machines can protect themselves. The tribes started this Machines VS Humans stuff. The real enemy was the Corruptors, Deathbringers and the people who tried to exploit the machines that killed the old ones.
