People fly FROM THIS side. Planes, THERE. People, HERE. OR Planes, HERE. (Runs quickly to not be hit in head by airplane........... Again.) People, HERE. OR People, THERE. Planes, WAY OVER THERE. For this to work, People and Planes just have to spend most of their time on opposite sides of the flight line. Don't worry though. You can still be together, alone, when you get home...... Then you can so stuff to her if you want.... Tape her up, glue her to herself, tear her apart cut her up throw her In a bag and dump what's left of her in the garbage if that's what you're into. Then just buy a new one to replace her. Get one that will do all the things the last one wouldn't. You know what I mean? Sure you do.....

The center-line fuel tank did not have the fuel cap properly secured and a Lucky grunt at the end of the runway got a picture as a giant fireball exploded beneath the plane... sure wish I still had a copy of that picture it was a rare one... Our XO got a fire warning indicator.. He could not punch out because he was still over the runway, full fuel bladders to his left, live bombs on the tarmack to his right, with a cool had on the stick he road the plan down until he was at about 100 feet and past the end of the runway. Once in the clear.. in his own words.. " I got clear so I jettisoned the fuel tank, it was still going down so I jettisoned the ordinance, it was still going down so I jettisoned the airplane... I don't like crashing or see anyone crashing if you have one plane usually you pack it up and go home
@gpaje Жыл бұрын
@@larrynitso3597 Absolutely, but not the end of the World. Usually easy & cheap to fix unless you wreck the whole plane. I do cars, boats and planes, and foamy planes are vastly cheaper to own and maintain, even with the a mistake here or there.

Sorry to see the crash landing, such a nice jet. Not "destroyed" by a long shot. Some glue and paint and she'll fly like new. Next time I suggest finding a more open landing site, so it's not the end of the world if you go off runway.

Haha yep ! The front landing gear was damaged Christian the owner was pretty upset but debating on what plane to get next so I think he'll be alright lol ! We have permission to fly in this section of fields but we completely agree , next time we won't land the jet between two rows of corn LoL !

This was the WORST flight line management ever! Read the AMA flight line rules: establish a runway, a pilot line and spectator line, drone pilots may not harass fixed wing and keep all flight operations AWAY from the crowd etc.

Totally unsafe to not only fly over people, but taking off and landing in such close proximity to others and on a public road...SMH
@Spinnaker6173 жыл бұрын
It would have required perfect calm conditions, flaps and maybe a little rudder mix (doubtful it has rudders) and lots of luck to land that big edf on that little road but hats off to you for getting out there and having fun flying with your buddies. Best part about foam is boil it, glue it, fly it. Good video👍
@jacklets38512 жыл бұрын
@@Spinnaker617 those jets typically do have rudders which will help. I fly these jets and it definitely isn’t luck. It’s pretty much mostly skill, I know many people who would have been able to land on that runway and I also know many more who would have crashed

Flying a high speed model, in an area with brush and static objects above ground level, in a highly congested airspace? This was a bad idea. High speed passes over spectators heads and within close proximity of static objects?? That's a recipe for disaster. Don't fly in conditions like this. Fortunately no one was hurt, but it WILL eventually happen if you keep flying like this. Too many things to go wrong very quickly. I've seen people get hurt in better conditions. Keep it safe. 🤙
@homersipes2 жыл бұрын
First comment ive seen about flying over heads, huge no no. This is what happens when people go to the hobby store and buy shit without any knowledge or research. Seen planes take out rvs, fingers hands, god forbid if one ever hit a person.

Good think nobody cares what you guys think lol. We can't all drive 2-3hrs just to fly for 25min. You fly where you can and accept the risks, the FAA is trying to ban aircraft because of drone spying not rc jets.

@@homersipes I flew a brand new plane, with a brand new receiver a few weeks ago. Got to far ahead of myself in my excitement and forgot to do a range test before the first flight. Found out about 5 seconds into the flight the receiver was bad and was getting a ton of signal holds. I was fortunate to get it down safely with out damage. All I can think about is what would happen if there was a failure like that was to happen when you are flying over the flight line like that. Seeing this after what happened to me, was horrifying, very very dangerous.

@@andrewvosecky9413 when i was a kid i remember seeing a 45% extra 300 fly straight through an rv at a fly in due to a battery failure. Luckily nobody was in the rv at the time but it was like a missile. I have been fortunate as to never have that kind of issue. I did get "shot down" years ago, i had frequency pin and was flying a 1/4 scale j3 cub and a guest was flying on channel 55 same as me and he flipped his transmitter on while tuning his engine and down my plane went.
