FYI There is no Rockbreaker site…at least not in The Cut. It’s a quest/mission that requires you to hunt down a Daemonic Rockbreaker for a retired Banuk hunter. The weave is in a supply crate on an elevated platform.

@@Nine9y the machines are way more aggressive than ever on NG+ UH BUT once you've upgraded your BANUK weapons, they become a lot easier to defeat. Just time your dodges and you're good. The hunting grounds were VERY hard tho but completed it 2x 😉

Hi Guys, for those of you wanting to get the best mods for Aloy's gear, just remember you can load out your new game+ saves everytime you complete The final story mission and restart another New Game+. So basically if you have the patience you can grind the FW DLC to get 3xDmg coils, 1xFire,Freeze,Shock coil & Melee/Projectile/Fire/Ice Weaves multiple times as you'd like. Also another hack to speed up this process is to play all your repeated New Game+ in Story Mode so you can speed through the DLC and main Storyline. If you are an extreme completionist then you would have to playthrough the new game+ atleast 4 times to get 4 coils for each of the elemental coils & weaves and you'd also have 16 dmg coils on top of that. Another major hack post-DLC is to get the best Dmg coil for your spear , at this very moment the best dmg spear coil is 30%, but unlike the other coils its not guaranteed and there is no 100% to get these. But there is one hack that can speed up the process of getting the damage coil. What you do is at the start of the game after you have completed the mission where you can go through the gate and access the entire map, you talk to the guy that triggers Frozen Wild DLC near the gate and after that go to the Frozen Wild region. Play through either the Frozen Wild missions or hunt through the region and collect 4 BlueGleams. Once you have 4 BlueGleams the next thing to do is save near a fireplace next to the special merchants (that sell the Banuk gears) and purchase the "Glacier Loot Box". This box will always carry a purple damage coil but the dmg % will vary between 22% to 30%. The trick to changing this odd is to save near the merchant buy the box, if its not between 28-30% or something higher than what you have then restart from previous save and then go and do some main mission (it doesn't matter whether the mission is from the main mission or DLC mission), but after every mission completion you can save and repurchase the Glacier Loot Box and the dmg coil stats will keep changing and eventually you will get the higher end dmg coils between 28-30%.

The RT I just got this game with the frozen wilds edition. Does this mean that every NG+ you do, all your stuff from the previous NG+ gets added to your next playthrough? For instance, if you do your first NG+ on Ultra Hard (and get the face paints and focus colors) then your next NG+ will have those available regardless of the difficulty you choose?? Also, assuming I collect all the blue gleam in normal mode (I’m in normal mode right now, have yet to start NG+) and I choose to not spend any of it, does that mean I can just save it up and instantly buy the adept version of the Banuk gear? I’d really appreciate it if anyone could help me out w these questions. Just got into this game and it is really good.

The slings are powerful but I find them boring after a bit. All you gotta do is spam them anywhere on the machine and that’s it. Beat my first frost claw with no issue because of it. I didn’t even get to see it’s attacks because the lodge sling decimated it. After that I stopped using the slings and no I’m not on an easy difficulty I was on ultra hard

I never played the DLC before playing on Ultra hard so wasn't that easy for me so I didn't have those weapons or these modifications so right now it's a pain in the ass I don't know how you get through some of the DLC on Ultra hard also can I get different modifications cuz I keep restarting it to my last save and going to drop off the paint for that girl and it did change once from handling to frost I'm not sure if that's all what there is or if I can keep doing this and maybe I'll get something better

Since we are able to start NG+ multiple time using the save of the previous completed NG+, you can farm these Frozen Wild coils and weaves to get a OP Aloy gear.

Yes its great and also remember you can farm this game faster by playing your "farming" playthroughs on "Story Mode" which is the easiest mode, a Thunderjaw can be taken down with 3-4 Blast Sling bombs. If you have time to do mindless yet less tedious grinding than just killing Thunderjaw/Stormbirds a million times, then I suggest atleast playing through the NG+ 4 times, mainly to get 4 of the "Pristine Weapon Coil" (which is insanely OP dmg mod because along with the 51% dmg you get 47% handling x 4, which makes your whole shooting and bow retracting process super fast). Also you get 4x all elemental coils and 4 x melee/ranged attack/fire/freeze weaves for your best gears.

Ok I think you don't understand what I'm saying. So ok lets say you are on your 1st playthrough of New Game+, once you finish the final "MAIN MISSION" which is called "The Looming Shadow", you have officially finished the main story. The game then automatically "loads out" your most recent playthrough as your "new game plus" start point. So what you can do after you finish that main mission is exit the current game then on the main menu click on New Game+ again and choose your difficulty (between story to ultra hard) and then start the game again from the start where you talk to Rost, you will have all your inventory and mods and gear from your 1st new game+ playthrough and the shards you had then. Now you can play this game again to the end and after you play looming shadows mission again the game will load this save as your NG+ again and you repeat this multiple times and obviously play the Frozen Wilds DLC to farm the best coils and weaves. Just remember doing this repetition is useless if you can't farm the Frozen Wilds DLC, so if you haven't bought that DLC don't do this method. But if you have the FZ DLC, then you can get like 4 or 8 times all the Dmg/Freeze/shock/melee/ranged/fire coils and weaves you want.

i know i'm really late to the game, and i have yet to even clear through pre DLC content/main story. i thought rock breaker is a pain to deal with other than thunderjaw and stormbird. the frozen wild pack have more mean machines? and here i thought the best outfit was the one after acquiring cell battery for. i didn't realise that outfit is so much harder to obtain than i realise. 5 cells that spread all over the most tedious to challenging places to be in. one in frozen wild too.

I just got the game a few days ago. Once i unlocked the ancient armor i cranked it up to hard. Everything weapons wise is essentially the same aside from mod slots. I use shadow hunter bow atm with +/-40% fire mods. Fire arrows, dodging, an a lot of spear action

Could u possible make a video talking about how the new weapons (not bows) are basically impossible to use because of their extreme ammo consumption. They’re mostly balanced but just have way too high ammo cost compared to bows and they are in no way better than bows, so why is their ammo cost higher if they’re weaker. For example the fireforge cost 20 blaze just for 12 ammo which can’t even kill one enemy really. It should be more like 6 or 8 blaze. I think many share his opinion and since guerrila watches your content this would help spread the message.

Hey, I've found a lot of these, but for some reason when I get to the new map I can't change my hardness level at all. I'm playing through on Hard, mostly for the fun of it, so it's generally easy after playing through on Ultra Hard... but for some reason I can't change hardness when I get to the Frozen Wilds... If you play the game for the first time you can change difficulty any time but if you play on “new game+”you’re stuck with difficulty you pick at the beginning

The Dev have created 2 Trophies one to finish the game on any difficulty in New Game+ and another to finish the game in New Game+ in Ultra Hard Mode. Unfortunately in order for PS4 to be able to track that the gamers are not switching back and forth from Ultra Hard to Normal difficulty, Guerilla Games have locked difficulty in New Game+. Also another issue is that the new face paints and Focus skins are locked behind completing the game in New Game+ on Hard, Very Hard & UH (as in the harder the difficulty you beat the more stuff will unlock). Due to this they have locked difficulty in NG+ to keep track of how the gamers complete their game and on which difficulty.

For optimal resistance, find the highest variant of an armor (I prefer Banuk Ice Hunter Master and Carja Blazon Master for optimal stats; 60% freeze/fire resistance, respectively) and go get the Adept version of it for an additional mod slot.

Not exactly. Mod the adept master stealth to the hilt. You will be nearly invisible. Makes a lot of things easier. Can always switch to shield weaver mid battle if you need to.
