@@GamingTech-KZbin no thank you. There is no need at all for hdr on this type of video. There’s no special effects or big changes in lighting. In fact hdr KZbin videos look awful on iPhone. Great if you want to destroy your eyes. HDR is only good on oled TVs with properly mattered material.

Really wish Sega would use Decima in the next "open zone" Sonic game. Though I assume the game would have to be a Playstation/PC exclusive in that case and Sega makes a lot of money on Switch ports. The Hedgehog Engine is simply not suited for open world games from what I've seen.

this engine is so jank literally every cutscene props, actors and environment freak out on me during every scene transition. There's always something that bugs out without fail. It'd be no different if they went to unreal because they both have the same amount of buggy crap to them

@ no. Blame Microsoft. Windows should be able to handle hdr by now. It should be able to even detect if a game is not hdr and automatically switch to sdr. It can’t even do that basic thing that console has done for a decade. I have to keep changing between sdr and hdr. And if I forget, let’s say I go to watch a movie then I switch to the hdr game. Then I have to close and restart again. Windows is so bad that it doesn’t even have an hdr calibration tool that the console has for ages. Then again windows can’t even handle tabs in 2024. Which Mac has done for over a decade. Do what do you expect Oh and forget about gsync on windows. It deactivates when the computer goes to sleep, and you can’t activate it until you restart the whole system. Such thing doesn’t happen on console. VRR works on console, always with no bugs. The issue is windows.

It’s similar. The sliders just take the place of the hdr calibration tool. All Nixxes ports are like that. Just plug in the values you get with the windows calibration tool over to the game.

Thanks for video. I been playing with 0 0 0. Now I’ll do 0 0 10. The game remaster is quite impressive for only $10. If I had to pay full price like TLOU Remake did. I wouldn’t have gotten it. Also it look like it got the same level of remastering as TLOU Remake did or possibly more.

I actually like that there's a black level floor setting. My monitor is an ASUS Pro Art HDR 1000 monitor and the only way to prevent horrible inverse booming is to crush the blacks. Having the option to raise it on software is a huge plus for me.

Don’t crank detail to 10, it actually makes the image look dithered like sharpness is too high. Turn it to 3 or 4 instead it looks much better.

Hi gaming tech! I just have a quick question. In the video, for the system HDR calibration you say to follow the on screen instructions. But in one of your previous videos you said that this actually isn’t correct, and the correct way is to go one more notch so that the sun isn’t visible at all. Can you confirm this? It's dependent on game, some are very difficult to notice any flicker and others are really bad. I mean if RTINGS mentioned it about LG panels it's an issue with every panel they have ever tested. The VRR flicker they call it. It does 120 FPS ok as long as no VRR is active. No solution apart from buying a different brand.

QN90C with BASIC HDR configuration on game mode. Settings to original. 19 clicks from dark to bright on PS5 HDR CALIBRATION for the first 2 settings, as dark as possible on third setting. VRR ON. HZD Remastered on Balanced mode. HDR as below on game menu. Brightness -10 Shadows 0 Highlights +10 THE GAME IS PERFECT.

Absolutely, you even get the Frozen Wilds dlc included so I would say it's worth it for sure. It's an amazing game.
