I'm hoping Disney will create a Horizons 2.0 to replace Mission Space when that contract expires. All they need to do is keep the forward looking theme and build it in such a way that it can be updated rather easily as the actual future takes shape. In the end it's not the physical attraction that we miss, it's the story the attraction tells, that's what matters. Throw in some elements of the original ride for people to find and blog about.

Also they just recently took out the EPOCT exhibit and many others at One Mans Dream and replaced it with a meet and great.

While updated with new tech (like I wish they would redo Imagination to be like the original but with new tech too) I wish they could bring this back ... I am not even sure If I'd care if there was some way they'd have to include it in/near Tomorrowland in the MK ... I miss Horizons

I have to say I think the sinkhole was the reason this ride was destroyed. How often do you ever see disney just completely tear down a building that isn't even two decades old? They repurpose everything they can at least once, and if they spent $100,000,000 on this attraction like I've heard I can't see them tearing it down after such a short time. I've also seen photos of gigantic steel pillars being driven into the ground near the area where the horizons building once stood. Obviously disney company has no incentive to acknowledge this either way, but Marty knows what's up generally and him saying that combined with everything else makes me think the sinkhole theory holds water.

Hey Rob, there's this game called Planet Coaster. I was suggesting that you start a new series of re-creating Disney, or maybe even make it even better!

I've actually been playing it a bit. I don't think it'll end up being a series since as far as games go, it's currently being pushed aside for my backlog, but similar to Minecraft, as people put together these recreations I might just highlight/promote them!

Isn't the under water resort/city called Sea Castle? Sea Base Alpha was the name of the area at The Living Seas.
