Awesome job brother! Very respectable groups. Yea we all can improve, but those are great in my opinion. Those bullets look cool…definitely different from anything I’ve used. I use the 158gr SWC with my .38 Special loads. Hope you have a great weekend!

Another good video. My .45 load book just arrived. Doing a number of test loads soon to pick a light and heavy pet load. When I was a sprout, I remember Skeeter Skelton loading hollow base .38 loads ‘Accidentally’ upside down and hot for defense duty loads. Dang nice little M10-6.

Awesome! And appreciate it! It’s been a dandy of a handgun for me.

Some pretty good groups, even DA. Those wadcutters are cutting some nice holes and performing quite well. Another good Friday.

I agree! The numbers are perfect. Will make a fine load! Just need to polish up on my skills!

Ive loaded many. 38 special wadcutter loads for my Smith and wesson 686 and having a Smith and wesson model 52 ,a semi automatic target model that requires that load. Always found these to be extremely accurate and mild to shoot. Excellent video.

Midway USA has those load manuals that you mentioned also. I had thought about them just the other day so it was great that you reminded me, I ordered a few including the .38 Special that you spoke about. Thank you for the great information.

Thx for the video! I just finished reloading 450x 148gr WC flat base from WM Bullets and 100x 148gr WC hollow base from H&N.

Wadcutters are strange to handload. The powder loads are generally pretty light and the seating can be tricky when you first start. They shoot like a dream though!

love to see what that load does out of a 2 inch barrel.

Another great video my friend! I thought the groups were pretty decent for a first loading: maybe a couple tenths down on powder?

A while back, Fortunecooky45 pulled some Remington HBWC factory rounds and surmised the charge was 3.2g of 231; they apparently shot very accurately. I agree 3.5g is a bit on the high side for a target load, the recoil and M.V of just shy of 850fps tends to support this, so I agree with you. Interesting video, and helpful to those of us experimenting with the same bullet and powder combination.

I found this video because I wasn't sure if you turn them around backwards and use them for hollow points

Some old timers have mentioned that before. I intend to try some that way, someday.

A little bit late to comment but thought I'd throw my 2 cents in. Your first group shot off the bench might have been better had you not rested the gun itself on the support block. Best to rest the hand rather than the gun. Reason why is the hard metal against the hard block will make the gun bounce before the bullet leaves the barely. This naturally gives a more open group. Try it this way, I'm sure you'll see an improvement.
