I’m super excited for this. Ive told buddies for years if hornady ever comes up with this style bullet I’ll switch. The second I heard about this I called my local gun store and asked them to order 5 boxes just for me 🤣. I can’t wait to get my hands on them, muzzleloader season can’t get here fast enough.

have a question I was using Hornady bore driver FTX last year with 50/50 paradox about 50 yards from the target the bullets would come out of the rifle of the Thompson Center encore and just land in front of the target as if the bullet is not sealing against the barrel any help you could literally pick the bullet back up and reuse it the only reason why I bought these cuz I couldn't find my TC shock waves that I typically get

@@michaelcrawford1011 federal Bor lock have consistently been recovered with textbook mushroom that being said usually at 80 to 100 yd they will not pass completely through but will be recovered under the skin on the Pharcyde usually under that distance it'll blow right through but it still leaves a fairly decent Blood Trail when necessary because we've had quite a few deer drop right in their tracks with the federal Bor lock

@levijackson95243 жыл бұрын
Almost sounds like a powerbelt but not quite.
@jameshagerman76813 жыл бұрын
This is essentially an improved powerbelt. Actually jacketed rather than copper washed, interlock design which has proven itself on game from coyotes to cape buffalo, and a flat bullet base allowing you to take off the skirt and run them in 54x50 sabots if you have a 54 caliber muzzleloader you'd like to boost the performance of, be that a sidelock or an older inline. Coming in what are essentially speed loader tubes is a bonus.

basical u just took the federal bore lock idea!!!!
@jameshagerman76813 жыл бұрын
No. Federal bore lock is essentially a modern take on a compression bullet as seen in various European militaries in the 1850s and 1860s muzzleloading rifles. This is an improvement of the Powerbelt design which is essentially a take on the Minie design with the skirt that flairs out to engage the rifling upon firing.

This does not impress me,, using words like "desighned from the ground up" is foolish,, every bullet on earth was designed from the ground up..,, stop trying to invent new stuff all the time, and concentrate on doing something useful like getting 32-20 ammo on the shelf, or getting some primers & gas checks on shelves for people that reload,, you leave out the practical things trying to reinvent the wheel,, go back to thinking inside the box like Joyce Hornady did,, you young guys invent all this new bullshit that nobody even needs,, & you can keep your fancy new products & plastic guns...

I shoot now for no more than 40 cents a round without primer/powder,this looks like another glorified power belt, I have no problem with a saboted bullet ìts fast flat and accurate, so my question is are you going to sell them for 35 to 40 cents a piece,then I can see if they stack up to what I have now, I don't think so but you can prove me wrong ? aim small good hunting. So what say you ?
