Hornby Class 47 HM7000 TXS sound

Hi folks, just a quick video of Hornby TXS decoder loaded with Class 47 sound. Bachmann loco with 21 pin. Sound is great even with second smallest supplied speaker. Motor control is fantastic with no adjustments to CVs for perfect running. Controlled with NCE Powercab, but also works great via Bluetooth on a Lenovo tablet using the the Hornby App. A very easy install. All worked perfectly first time. No issues at all. Very pleased indeed. Well done Hornby. Will definitely be buying more for other loco classes.

Same sound file as a the TTS...

Hi, is that for sure? It sounds different to me, and I have a few TTS 47s with different speakers. The horns are very different, with many new variations. Engine notching up sounds very different as well to me.

@@cravensdmufan4449 Yes, the horns are different, but start up , notch are the same I think...is it still manual brake sounds.?

​@@paulkandi Yes Paul, brake squeal still needs to triggered manually on f4. That's actually my one and only slight disappointment. But overall, motor control is a fantastic improvement over TTS plus many more CV values are now adjustable. Cheers.

​@@brentleajunction Hi Paul. I didn't need to change any CVs for motor control. I have now fitted 10 of these TXS decoders and they all work really well. I did change (mostly reduce) a few CVs to adjust some of the spot sounds - very easy to do with the app. I really like this system. Best regards. Vivian

@@delticnapierdccsound4236 I would agree as I have plenty of his myself. But I do think the new HM7000s are a vast improvement over TTS not only in sounds but they are also giving superb motor control without changing CVs (amazingly even in Bachmann locos). I am really impressed with the 47 sound actually, also the 08 and 31. Have you actually heard the new Hornby profiles? The recordings on KZbin don't do them justice. I am now convinced they are not the same recordings as TTS. For half the price of ESUs or Zimos, I have found they are good. Best regards. Vivian

@@vivianhughes9347 The horns need improvement. And yes they are cheaper. The problem with esu is that they pass through far to many hands before they get to the customer. Everyone adding their slice of profit. They start in China. Go to esu Germany. Then to swd as the only official supplier in this country who now only sell to the trade. Then to a decoder seller and then to the customer. 20% vat added at every opportunity. This explains the price..
