You’re lucky to own a hornby Edward. The reason finding one of those would be rare is not because of what happened to Edward’s status in the show, it’s because the Hornby Thomas range is now discontinued. Secondly, the hornby Edward, which although doesn’t look like the one from the show, is much stronger and less prone to derailing than the Bachman Edward(the Bachman Edward can only handle 3 passenger coaches over hills, like seen in one of “Sam’s Trains” ‘s videos)

Did you know that during the time when Hornby reintroduced Edward and the whole Thomas range in general, Hornby were planning to release a Edward train set called “Edwards Day Out” which was a planned 2016 release. Unfortunately it was cancelled for unknown reasons!

It sucks how this is the wrong basis which was a D49 when in fact he’s a F.R. K2

Should had use the D16 with a gwr hall funnel

There are no K2’s in model form. The only ones available are live steam garden layout engines. Also, the D16 wasn’t released at the time the Thomas range was introduced.

TBH I don't like the hornby Edward, because it's not accurate to his real life basis, which was the furness railway class k2. They had a straight running board instead of a curved one.
