Hornby J36 class 65311 'Haig' SOUND

Another of Keith's customers engines, many thanks to JC for allowing this video.
Hornby R3622 class J36 65311 'Haig' was designed by Matthew Holmes for the North British Railway in the nineteenth century.
It is seen here in 1950's BR livery.
Sound by Mr Soundguy; decoder is a Zimo MX648 with a Zimo 10x15x12 sugar cube speaker.

Hi Reinhard, its interesting how sound transforms a model. This video for me had really sparked my interest in the J36, but obviously it has to have the sound. Wonderful. The running appears very smooth too as is the camera work. Very interesting track cleaner too i think you have mentioned it once, is it your own creation? Hi Jerry - The J36 doesn't (or rather - this one doesn't) have the 30mph Lurch. The track cleaning wagon is (I think) a Bachmann SR 4 wheel baggage van in red. We use it as a buffer wagon between Hornby & Kadee couplings. The cleaners are Tidy Track 'Dust Monkeys' ref: TT4571 from Woodland Scenics (2 pairs). Hope this helps..........cheers, Reinhard.

That sounds fantastic! I'm a Newby and we've just bought Maude with TTS sound and it sounds no where near as good as this, it sounds tinny . Am I better off buying without in future and fitting my own?

Hmmm......Good question. You will be happier choosing tailor made decoders & soundfiles if you think this is better than TTS. But you will not be better off £ wise!! Allow £100+ for a good soundchip & decent loudspeaker. Hope this helps.

@@letzterinstanz that's not too bad when I consider I'm already paying a £50 - £60 premium for a model with sound. If they sounded as good as yours there wouldn't be a problem but now I've found your channel I've realised how lacking TTS is.

Very poor and cheap loco as on mine the cab tarpaulin ,coupling rods,boiler handrails and brass fittings fell off first time used, only fit for scrap.
