Thanks for reviewing. It looks like the best thing about the model is the Tri-ang box! It brings back memories but sad that the model itself is not up to standard which seems indicative of a few of Hornby's new releases.

Not only is the sign out of plumb but the entirety of the entrance section looks nothing like the actual building but neither is the carboard representation and after seeing the close ups it looks as though it was a China school project for preschoolers. The main building is what we here call a twenty-footer, so it looks good as long as your 20 foot away or more, lol. If it didn't cost so much, I would test out my M80's on it and make a great video with a car jumping over at the right moment, lol. Still a great review Matt so hang in there at 20 feet (6.096m) away, Jersey Bill.

Hiya... The other thing that I notice from the video is that the bottom of each window, more noticable on the top windows, is thàt the corners look rounded and not square, as though there is a lot of flashing present. I presume that this maybe due to the thickness of the resin and the back of the window aperture isn't square thus giving this effect. The window ledge on the windows above the entrance doors on the left hand side hasn't been painted properly and the ledge above the top windows seem to have small white icicles (drips) from them

The original moulding was for Bellamys Factory ...they just changed the nameboard

Honest review. Re one to one collection thats a Jeremy Hoskin grab. As long as you are au fait about his politics then by all means support it. Hope he has not got eyes on Hornby too

Made in China wouldn't touch it. Made in 🇬🇧 I'd buy it. I haven't bought a Hornby product since they moved production to China and refuse to do so. The mobile phone I'm using was probably made in China but in that respect I have little choice.

Hi, good honest review of a cool looking buildings until you pointed out the flaws, as Hornby are concerned it’s ok or else they wouldn’t release them, in my opinion they look very shoddy, we’re these made by Chinese prison workers? I know a person who told me that a lot o f furniture especially sofa wooden frames are made by prison workers in prison workshops, maybe Hornby have found a seriously mega cheap workforce that don’t care and it shows, items like these cost hard earned money and to be fair Hornby’s standards are very up and down, if you call out the poor standards of work the Hornby police start calling you a Hornby basher! If the item is below par or piss poor then call it out to alert other modellers that it’s not worth the money, there clearly is no quality control any more because it cost money along with no spares it’s not great at Hornby these days, many thanks for sharing.

Hornby made a previous model based on their factory, Hornby Skaledale R8771 Bellamys Office Building, I agree with your observations. That looks like a good model of the dear old Hornby building. And can you really expect a model of a British building to be made perfectly? Remember it’s made in China!!

That is the worst ceramic model from Hornby I have ever seen. I would send it back. It is a Limited Edtion Model of their building so you would think they would have had better quality control on them. I watched a video of a Shirt Factory in China and every Shirt was Checked, folded, and packed. Limited Editions are a joke when it comes to Hornby. I bought a Train Pack called "The Yorkshire Pullman" Limited Edition. Whilst everything was in good order, I was disappointed that the Pullmans did not even have lite table lamps.I would really like to have the Hornby Office Model, but as usual, it is only usable as a burned-out building or a demolition site Diorama. Instead of moaning about the product quality why didn't you scratch build one yourself, It's quite easy you could have added a fully functional interior and lighting for less than half the price and then it would be made in England, there's a thought.
