I had that model of terrier, I wanted to trade it in for a new model version and was offered a pittance; Instead I repainted it into Southern wartime black, gave it a number 11 and some unwanted "Newport" nameplates from a renamed 02 tank and gave the engine away last year as a birthday present to a friends young son. Soon it will be joined by a kit bashed and repainted Smokey Joe with a scratchbuilt rear cab wall and coal bunker for the lads birthday this year. Your Smokey Joe weathering vids the inspiration.

That’s good to hear. I have made a tender for Smokey joe and still intend to make a video of it. I’ll add it to the list 👍🏼

On your last video of Box Bits I suggested more steamers and especially a terrier as I have 3 to do. THANK YOU so much for reading the comments and taking action. I watch all your videos as you make everything clear and let everyone know most importantly, what materials you are using as you go along. Lovelly job of this one and look forward to some more mixed colour steamers. You are a genious.

That’s very kind of you to say. It’s comment like these that make me continue with the channel. Thank you I meant to give you a shout out for the suggestion, but thank you for your comments and suggestions Good luck with your terriers

One of my favorite terriers that didn't make it to preservation. It would have been neat if one of them did. A Swindonized terrier running about would be something else.

Final result looks awesome. Hypnotic to watch as well. Most of my locos are industrial steam so more than one of them will be getting this treatment. Cheers for the tips 👍

That’s good to hear. I was worried that the spot and rust might be a little over the top but I’m pretty happy with the result. I think I’ll be doing more

Excellent. I'm almost inspired to do mine, but not done a loco in so long I've lost all confidence. I did order some of the airbrush smoke colour, from your link, to sit on my shelf and not get used though.

You can do it! Good luck

Amazing. When u have them finished could u film them running in a scene on the layout?
@BuntersYard Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately my layout is only DCC at the moment but I’m adding a dc line soon so that we can run all of the models once they’re finished

Love the videos, informative and relaxing lol! I am a rookie, when using AK varnish through an airbrush to seal in a layer… do you thin the varnish?? Or do you shoot it through at full strength? Thanks!

In my last comment I mentioned I had 3 Terriers to weather, a black one, blue one and a stroudley green (which is more of a yelow). As we all know everything on a railway ends up more or less the same Brown However if you were weathering these 3 different colour engines would you use the same colour weathering powders and paints on all the 3 models or would you change the colours and shades of paints & powders relevant to the background engine colour. Thanks

I would tend to use the same weathering powders and colours. Having said that, some thinned paints such are brown shades may appear differently on darker colour. But generally speaking, use the same palette of colours

Not sure why, but the narration throughout the video is so quiet compared to the intro... Other than that I enjoyed the video

Yes, apologies. We noticed that too but after it was uploaded. Thanks for sticking with it though
