Nice! the LNER blue A4s look great with Pullman coaches! I once saw someone run a TTS sound 4469 Gadwall with Pullman coaches at Train Town KC, a defunct public model railway! They do make rerailing tools to help place trains on the track btw!

i got that mallard but as a railroad model and when i tested it's strength it just managed to haul about 11 pullman coaches including a baggage car that was used to carry winston churchills coffin

Hi there ,, gr8 review and like you said that i think every train buff needs to own a mallard ,, haha yes you are dead right ,, well i fianally joined that club a few months ago and got my first mallard & is a union of south africa mallard.. It was a cheap one too and it is a tender driven one but it still is a mallard and its a blue 1 too. I only paid $60 aus delivered to my door. The ringfield motor is crap but I got it going but is really slow but I will fit a cd drive motor into it and it will go like a rocket (or a mallard) as the loco's free running mechanism is effortless and turns really well. I think that hornby have painted the roofs white just like the original pullmans are. Why they painted them silver is beyond me. I have a few pullmans with the silver roofs (later models) and i will be painting them white in the near future. Haha i just noticed this video was done 4yrs ago so i just subscribed so i will have a skiz at your other video's you have while im at it. Anyhoo keep the good work and gr8 video there m8.
