@@sysyli4619 Wtf? I can't believe evidence and statements from the people that the event impacted? I don't know how looking for answers instead of falsely saying he didn't do it is being brainwashed. Where is your evidence that WWE is brainwashing people about the subject? It's clear to see that they would rather steer away from the subject all together. They aren't brainwashing his own family. If anything they cut off communication with his remaining relatives. Why would Vince, of all people, know what really happened that day? The reason this situation happened is because he neglected Benoit even though he was on of their top guys. Responding to you is so difficult because you are not really saying anything, but at the same time you are just making shit up.

I remember being a computer lab and walked by a computer with news of the event on the screen. So of course I had to run to a computer myself to find out what happened. And as the rumors came in and faded out and what happened was revealed I was pretty sick to my stomach for awhile. Benoit was my favorite wrestler up to that point and I was crushed and devastated for his friends and family. I'd outright stop regularly watching wrestling for years after that basically just "boxscore" watching up till 2018 or so.

I think he killed wrestling for a lot of people, I didn't stop watching right away myself, I was already bored with it well before that point but kept watching most PPV's... Then when I realized they didn't let anyone bleed that was it, never seen a match since (somtime in 2008, I don't know if that was Linda getting into politics or if they had to get it back to a kids show because UFC stole a lot of their grown up audience or whatever. But I like to blame Benoit for the PG-era too). Still love listening to shoots, but mostly from wrestlers active during the 80s and 90s. I got the news from WWE both times, that he died with the tribute show and the RAW the day after when they talked about the crimes and never mentioning him again.

I remember my love of wrestling died when Chris did. I hoped that Chris would train me to be a professional wrestler. I stopped working out. I stopped caring about the business. I stopped watching wrestling. the older I got the more I realized that 10 to 1 Benoit was not murdered. That it wasnt a McMahon conspiracy. But I also realize that brain damage induced psychosis is a real thing. and it wasnt the Benoit that was gentle and compassionate. It wasnt the Benoit that cared about fans and everyone in the locker room. It, wasnt Benoit.

Just the manner and tone that he asks questions or tries to get that nugget of gossip or controversy out of a wrestler is refreshing. Not in a complete scumbag or lack of morals way, but his approach to asking questions reminds me of earlier seasons Jerry Springer (~BEFORE~ he started having the worst of the worst circus of terrible people imaginable) The “Timeline” series alone is fantastic. Covers a wide range of events (not just the handful of most known events) and while yes you need to take these things with a grain of salt and skepticism, I find that you get a more honest representation of what was happening than you would from a more generic Q&A session

If it's the spousal abuse version, then it's right he's buried and only remembered around the edges. But I think it's just as likely his brain injuries, health and substance use came together in a breakdown that caused him to do it. In which case, it probably should be talked about as a very sad example and the importance of mental health.

At that stage he didn’t need a psychiatrist. He needed a neurologist. But I agree. He should be a prime example for all athletes, especially those who are in full contact sports or martial arts, to take their brain health very seriously. Mick Foley also endured years and years of head trauma yet him and all of his family are alive. Chris had also previously beaten his wife to the point she was considering divorce 5 years prior to that weekend. And the fact that this took days to unfold, 3 to be exact, along with the fact that he drugged his son before killing him kinda points towards him being in full control of his actions that weekend. His search history on his computer showed him looking up plane tickets to get to the Vengeance show he missed. Less than 24 hours after killing his son. He had issues but in the end the man was in full control of his actions and his choices

He didn't describe it accurately the multiple concussions gave Benoit CTE which is a progressive nurorlogical disease common things are memory loss uncontrollable mood swings suicidal tendencies and potentially forgetting who people are there's other things but that's a basis as it's almost like altimerz and he had the brain of an 85 year old altimerz patient now combine the CTE with a death of a close friend you have a ticking time bomb as all people with CTE typically kill themselves in some way that keeps the brain intact

Idk if Eddie was still alive Chris probably would of been too. He cried alot because he was uncertain what was going to happened next. And you know he was always quiet and not alot of wrestlers liked him. Concussions are a serious situation that can get worst without medication. He's one of many including NFL players that killed himself and his family. I'm not mad of Chris but I'm still extremely upset of the outcome.

Sick to death of irrational conspiracy theories. Benoit was known for odd behavior. Benoit suffered numerous concussions from the diving headbutt and other events in matches. Benoit was suffering tremendous grief at the loss of close personal friends, not only Eddie Guerrero, but also former partner Biff Wellington and friend Victor Mar Manuel, aka Black Cat. He and Nancy had a history of physical confrontation. Nancy had a history of physical confrontation before Chris. Something happened, an argument or whatever that turned violent. There is plenty of forensic evidence to lay out the process of Chris killing Nancy. In these situations, especially where the husband kills the wife, in an extreme moment, it is quite common for the man (and, statistically, it is overwhelmingly the male who commits these acts) to then murder the children; because, in their warped thinking, it is better to take them from the world than have them live in a world without their mother (or both). He woke his son, gave him a pharmaceutical drug, then strangled him to death. He then took his own life, for what he had done. No one broke into the home, no one ordered their deaths, no space aliens appeared and killed them, no MK-Ultra experiment in mind control. A mentally unstable person encountered a situation that got out of hand and turned into extreme violence and his actions snowballed from there, destroying his family and himself. Chris Benoit was the murderer. Face it and move on.
