Random RVD memory: Probably right around '99, was at a show in Trenton, NJ. I have ringside seats. RVD comes out, does his usual thumb point thing. Me, a fan, does it back it to him... he points at 13 year old and me says, "HEY! You leave that to Rob Van Dam." I miss ECW. It was so... interactive. Over several shows I got spit on by Justin Credible. I got crushed by Sal E Graziano. I got bled on by Balls Mahoney. I had like a 20 minute long conversation with Paul Heyman in the lobby. Sandman threw beer can at me. There was nothing like ECW and there never will be again.

When I started watching ECW taz was only doing squash matches and loved RVD matches. Taz had had awesome suplexs but was never booked for great matches that I saw. I heard that paul wanted Vader to job to taz. The FTW belt was taz thinking he was bigger than ECW
@jamal1113 жыл бұрын
Vader was never in ECW (would have been AWSOME if he was) and when RVD signed in 96 (I believe) Taz already dumped the Tazmaniac gimmick mid/late 95. Remember when RVD arrived in ECW Taz had the fued with Sabu (his former partner) and attacked him, only for RVD to save him. That started the Taz vs Sabu rivalry, and the RVD vs Taz mini fued which Taz dominated. From 95-97 Tazz was undefeated only losing to Sabu, then the same night beat Shane to get the television title back. The whole timeframe RVD arrived in ECW Taz was a major player. Also the FTW belt was a storyline that was created because people couldn’t get championship matches due to the current champ being injured….the creation of the FTW belt (brooklyn World Championship belt) for the purpose of No days off

I loved 90s wrestling but couldn't stand Taz , he wasn't a believable tough guy ... He came across as the kid who got bullied and had to make everyone believe how tough he was

I only know Taz when he went to WWF, he’s boring to watch

I had to stop listening to the morning radio because Taz was on CBS sports and didn't know much about regular sports. Switched to cryptocurrency news.

It is a damn shame that none of these comments are from true wrestling fans, y’all obviously do not know Tax’s bloodline or true legacy, do you know The talent that has went through his gym in red Hook? Do you know the headliners he had a hand in training and or helping through the years? People like Rhyno, SPIKE Dudley just to name a couple of them,Taz is much more than what you just see on TV, do not get it twisted.

Too bad wrestling banned every cool move ever done. Tax had over 20 variations of the suplex but today he couldn’t do any of those moves.
