The fact that we stand on the shoulders of giants always amazes me and we need to be reminded sometimes to stay humble. What they were capable of accomplish 200 years ago is impressive and a forgotten art (?). Thanks for these videos. Love history in all shapes and forms.

I enjoyed this immensely, thank you. I am also awestruck by John Harrison. He started as a carpenter, and some of his wooden clocks were capable of amazing accuracy. The progression of his timepieces up to H4 is fascinating. His battle with the Board of Longitude for recognition of his achievements is a sad indictment of the professional snobbery of the Board. Another worthy subject?

Hi Russell, glad you liked it! 💯 Harrison did amazing work and his battle with the board was sad. Definitely a worthy subject, that is on the list 👍🏼. I feel that Harrison is a little more well known, especially with the movie Longitude. Keep your eyes peeled as he will be covered in the future

Cool history, looking forward to learning more. Maybe some book recommendations at the end (?) of the series would be a nice addition.
